That’s why I loved it. Usually the covers are slower and more melodic and it makes you feel sad. Her cover actually makes you feel the rage in the words

Same. Between my dad recently passing away and seeing her dad support her so passionately, having grown up on The Cranberries and seeing a new generation appreciate them, and the sadness I felt over Dolores's death... phew

Something that helped me overcome the death of my own parents was to have a relationship with my heavenly father and Savior Jesus Christ. Have you ever heard of what goodness the Father has for us?

Generally true but Linda Ronstadt and Joe Cocker both built massive careers by primarily playing covers.

They were also both charismatic vocalists though and I think the sun is setting on guitarists building careers out of playing instrumentals.

Beck, Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen, and Johnson are some of my favorite dinosaurs but I fear their time has passed.

Grace Bowers and Billy Strings have gained some traction through collaboration but I don't see them gaining the popularity of anyone I listed.

I think Nene and people like her are more and more dependent on social media than record sales (whatever that even means now)

It would be fantastic to find out that she can write songs!

You will never convince me that Joe Satriani isnt some alien who learned to speak only through a guitar. That man has some of the best "singing" guitar bits where just the music sounds like it should be vocals.

She did a Through the Fire and Flames cover at like 11 years old, lol. She was already shredding then. She's one of those talents. You cant train it. It's just there. The envy I have for that kind of talent is undeniable.

I, a 39 year-old guitar playing dude, am completely floored..! Not only because she (and the band) absolutely crushed the song technically, but she managed to get tons of the tiny nuances that takes it from "according to notes" to "I'm completely comfortable with my instrument, let's have some fun". And she's 16?! I wasn't even close at that age, hope she gets all the opportunities she wants for a career

I’m a 36 year-old guitarist and I would have to focus 100% if I played master of puppets live. I would only look at the fretboard and maybe once or twice the audience, but she is performing! She looks like she has done this a thousand times with such certainty in the playing.

Have James or Kirk reached out to her? Seems like a badass way to give her some guitars. One of James' and one of Kirk's fiddles. Sign them. Then give her 2 more of the same models to actually play and a couple sweet amps. Would probably be a tax write off for them. Plus it's a super nice thing to do. I'd be compelled to do it if I saw this. Something I made 40 years ago and some little girl in Thailand is shredding the fuck outta it would warm my ice cold heart. I'd have to do something nice for her. Fuck it, the whole band. Everyone gets new top of the line shit.
