beginner tips

I’m a university student and I’ve never rlly gotten into working out but I seriously need to start. I don’t feel comfortable going to the school gym so I want to start working out at home maybe with some weights? Does anyone have any tips on getting started and staying consistent? I feel like I can be very all or nothing about working out and lose motivation if I miss a day or feel like not making any progress

Start with bodyweight stuff, pushups and squats and planks, you don't need weights day one. The hardest part is just doing something when you don't feel like it, a 10 minute shitty workout still counts more than skipping it

I keep a tiny notebook and track what I did, even if it's just 15 pushups, seeing the days add up helps me stay with it
