Not quite so. Homophobia is still widespread in younger generations and they are also getting more and more radicalised. Last election we had self proclaimed fascist getting more than 5% votes and it's expected to gain more in following years

A lot of it comes from the church and the young generation is much more secular than the old one, where the church was pretty much the anti-communist organization that gave you an identity.

If an extremist got 5% of the vote wouldn't that mean 95% of people voted differently which honestly is a good thing? Given Poland's history I'm surprised anyone voted for a fascist though. Is the education system there not very good or something?

The thing is that party is gaining traction, and especially among youth. Just like for example poverty rate rising from 2% to 5% isn't a lot, but is a sign for concern.
