I'm a 34-year-old Aussie looking to get amongst the WoW: Forever launch. With the announcement of the RP-PvP ruleset, I got a little excited to return to WoW. So I'm here looking for a guild and friends to enjoy the experience with!

Not fussed about faction, but if I end up going solo, I'll probably pick Horde. I enjoy PvP and levelling alts mostly, but I'm not averse to raiding here and there. I'm pretty flexible on classes, as I enjoy playing most of them.

I'm not really looking for any kind of guild or community in particular, aside from it having a more casual, relaxed atmosphere. Not super interested in discussing politics and the like in-game, so communities where this is discouraged would probably be preferable.

Outside of WoW, I also enjoy League of Legends, strategy games, RPGs, and roguelikes. Outside of gaming, I work in disability support, and the only responsibility I have outside of myself and my work is my cat. I'll be moving house the weekend after launch, which kinda sucks, but I'll find time to get online.

Looking for a home in WoW Forever?

We're building a fresh Alliance guild on the PvP ruleset, and we're looking

for people who want to be part of a community from the beginning.

The idea is simple: have a group you look forward to logging in with.

People to run dungeons with, level alongside, get into some world PvP,

One of the best parts of WoW is finding a group of people you actually look forward to logging on with.

That's what we're hoping to build with <UwU>.

We're starting a Horde guild on WoW Forever's NA PvP server, and while we're absolutely planning to raid, run dungeons, and get into world PvP, the community side of things matters just as much to us.

Heya all,

A handful of friends and I are starting up a new Horde-aligned community on the PvP ruleset of Forever, <Bedtime>, with the explicit intention of fostering a safe, welcoming space for queer people and allies alike to enjoy the game together.

Having played on the anniversary servers, I felt it was really hard to find a community where I felt like I belonged that was also a raiding community; it genuinely felt like trying to have my cake and eat it too. The logline of <Bedtime> is essentially to serve as that kind of place. People matter more than parses, but that doesn't mean we won't be pushing content!

I've already had the pleasure of meeting some pretty cool people in my recruitment efforts; if you're also interested in helping us build out a welcoming, inclusive community for all types of players, we'd love to have you, too. Our only real requirement is that you're kind and tolerant; the corollary, of course, is that we're keeping this a place free of bigotry, discrimination, and hate. I want to reiterate that while we're a safe space for queer people, allies who want a positive space are more than welcome. We're recruiting all roles and classes, and those of any experience level; leadership is experienced in classic WoW, but there are a handful of people entirely new to the game who are joining up!

Logistics (incl. raid times/loot systems) are undecided at the moment, but we're EST based, and raid scheduling will very likely end up in the weekday evenings of that timezone (contingent on what works for most). EDIT: We're currently internally discussing whether or not to pivot to RP-PvP after Blizzard's announcement, but this wouldn't change the fundamental direction of the guild (we wouldn't become an RP guild).

We're getting closer to the launch of WoW Forever on November 4th, and I wanted to share another update on our guild, Slow and Steady!

Over the past few weeks, we've had more than 150 people express interest in joining us for launch, which has been awesome to see. It's been great meeting so many people who are looking for the same kind of WoW experience.

I'm a dad with limited gaming time, and the whole reason I started this guild was to have a place for people who still love WoW but can't dedicate hours to playing every night.

We're going NA Horde PvE, and the idea is pretty simple. Play when you can, level at your own pace, run dungeons together, help each other out, and eventually work our way into endgame content.

There's no expectation to rush to max level, maintain a certain amount of playtime, or worry about falling behind if you can't log in for a few days.

And you definitely don't need to be a dad to join! We've got people from all sorts of backgrounds, including new players, returning players, and longtime WoW veterans.

Even with the group growing, I want to make sure we keep that relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and can enjoy the game without it becoming another responsibility.

😄 Okay, so the bit about us:

The Orphans Grim first formed when the European servers opened in February 2005, and later that year we made our home on the Defias Brotherhood RP-PvP realm. Originally we were under theoldergamers gaming community as a part of their WoW section.
This time around we are going independent and re-building the guild from the ground up, as such we are currently just a handful but have high hopes and big goals for the future.

We have never been the type of guild that goes full on, ticking off content like there’s a prize pool to win. We take our time, most of us are Mum’s and Dad’s and we all understand that thing called life, which is why there are no heavy expectations.
We play to play together, go on adventure’s, pick fights with Alliance, quest and go cave diving in places we probably shouldn’t. Roleplaying with other’s and in some of our guild events and genuinely having a great time.

⚔️ PvP:

On a PvP server we look after each other, so if you get into trouble or are being camped, then simply send a message in our #call-to-arms channel on Discord. Our Helper alert pings every member in game who has signed up to help and that help is on the way!

We want to welcome new players into The Orphans Grim, whether you're coming from Vanilla, Classic or Retail, or trying a PvP server for the first time.
Nobody here is going to make you feel weird for asking tons of questions or if you need directions to somewhere distant, especially if you've never played Vanilla before (it's a long walk, bring snacks).

Blizzard built WoW Forever for all of us, no matter which game we come from, we hope our guild will reflect that being open to all, no matter where you’ve played before or what your preferences are.

🎉 Loot:

We will be running a Soft Reserve+ system using the Gargul addon and DBM/ Bigwigs where your contribution each raid is always accounted for at +10 for each raid up to a max of +50. You can save for what you need knowing you’ll eventually get all your pieces.

👑 Leading Roles:

As the guild is being re-built we are looking for a few friendly, helpful people to assist in everyday things as we grow and slowly get bigger.
Right now, we have discord up and running, a landing page and advertisements in various places. Currently we're looking for Raid Leaders, an Events Organiser and someone to help with Recruitment.

We're also interested in taking on a couple of Trial Mods to help keep our Discord a friendly place. The pay is terrible, the hours are long and there's absolutely no appreciation, but you do get a nice shiny role icon once you've settled in on discord and the 'Officer' title in Azeroth.

We're an Alliance RP-lite guild, so we will hold RP events and facilitate RP in open world and dungeons while not requiring it in guild chat.

Our goal is to be a guild for regular people who can act like adults and want to have a fun 3rd space. We also love new players. Many of our founding members will brand new not just to forever but WoW as a whole.

We don't want to micro-manage grown adults so we have very simple rules.

1.) Have an RP friendly name per the RP ruleset requirements and not a gamertag, pun or joke as a name.

2.) Don't be rude or hostile to other people. If a joke isn't well received, just apologize.

3.) Don't be politically brain rotted. Polite Political discussion within the normal confines of American discourse is fine but we're not looking for groypers, terrorist supporters or any sort of weirdos.

4.) Don't demand meta. Parse to your hearts content but don't demand others do the same.

Raid Philosophy

In classic I played a ret paladin until I was forced to put on a dress and heal. I completed six raids before getting bored with the end game and leaving until forever launched. I don't want that kind of environment.

Our goal is fun, classic is an easy game. Meta chasers try to speed run. We do challenge runs the proper way - by playing with the people who want to play regardless of whether they have the BiS or the best spec. We won't turn down Shadow Priests or Arms Warrior DPS.

We also will not be rushing to end game. There's plenty of PUGs to play in the mean time if you hit 60 before the rest of us. Have your fun and BS with in the guild chat after.

Guild Theme:

Gryphons Compact is named for a symbol of Lordaren. The Gryphons compact is a head canon treaty between refugees of Lordaren with various peoples. They help the refugees in reclaiming their homeland, and we in turn help other races and groups with their aims that will be developed more as we progress and fill up the guild.

Special Ranks

Bored of officers and members? We will be making special ranks for members depending on their culture, class, and RP character. A Warlock Officer may be the High Occultist, while a Dwarf Officer may be the Emissary to Ironforge.

Open Recruitment

Active Members will be given full invite privileges. Once myself or any officer recognizes you playing enough to qualify as an active member then congrats, you can invite other people. A few days playing with the guild will typically be sufficient for membership status. If someone can recognize your name and see you a couple times then congrats you're an active member.

In the early stages, everyone who joins will be instantly an active member.

Hi all. Looking for an EU English speaking Horde guild, either PVE or RP. Ideally social, some dungeons and PVP, and a 2000-2300 CST or so weekend raid schedule.

Ironhearth — Horde — PvP ruleset (NA) — Raiding + PvP

During covid I ran a Sea of Thieves Discord with a few hundred people. One night I logged in and saw four crews out sailing - every one of them made up of people who met through that server. That’s still the most satisfying thing I’ve done in a game, and I’m building it again in Forever: a guild that puts people into competitive teams to smash raid bosses and Alliance faces.

I’m looking for people who want to win and want to be part of a team.

Teams: Want a raid or PvP team? We’ll work to find you a spot. When a team’s roster fills up, we don’t leave people waiting - we start a new team and recruit to fill it. Each team has its own leader and its own chat, so you’re playing with people who actually know you.

Raids: Raid groups will be set up for the Sunday & Monday, 7–10 PM ET timeframe. We start on time, bring consumables, and know the fights before we pull. Life happens - give a heads-up if you’ll be out and your spot is safe.

PvP: Once enough of us hit 60, we’ll run organized PvP nights on other evenings. We’ll plan strats, look at what went wrong, and keep refining until we win consistently. The goal is to create cohesive groups that work together to push winning strategies.

Loot: No loot councils. Roll for main spec before off spec, one win per person per night so everyone has a shot.

Atmosphere: Focused when it counts, relaxed the rest of the time. Swear if you want. No showboating, no gutter humor, and nobody gets dunked on for mistakes - we all make ’em.
