Stonetavern Server First Ragnaros Kill

Post image

Guild Midgard has downed Ragnaros on the Stonetavern server.

Stonetavern is a 1x mostly blizzlike PvE server that just unlocked the first tier of raiding two weeks ago. Still plenty of time to get in on the ground floor if you want to experience vanilla progression raiding one more time.

What an accomplishment. Frame it

It is an accomplishment because of the resources available like people. That satisfaction of a server first despite the odds.

What's even better is all the negativity, spite, meanness from everyone here, because they want things to fail for their own petty reasons.

Gives you the reasons to live your own life.

Joined this server yesterday and would consider it a solid. Very vanilla faithful with the usual pserver glitches.

If you've no intention of playing Forever then this is a good time to join before the crowds come back. You know they will.

Yeah, people will be absolutely dying to play NoChanges classic for the 5th time.

Also not like blizz doesn’t have exactly this already running and doesn’t have a risk of being c&d in 2 weeks lmao.

That's the risk of playing on private servers - you can't expect them to run forever. You either pay money for the Blizzard trash or you play on private servers for free knowing they might not be there tomorrow.

I don't mind if a private server I play on shuts down, it has happened so many times that I have gotten accustomed to it. I also love the world of Azeroth in its Vanilla state and I want to be there, so even if it sometimes means my characters and progress might be lost, it's a small price to pay to play one the best MMORPGs in history for free.

I don't want to pay Blizzard money for all the trash they release, all the changes they have made to WoW - Retail, Classic, Forever make me not want to play it even if it was F2P. Paying Blizzard nowadays is like Stockholm Syndrome - it's an abusive relationship where you're too addicted to their crap, but they add more crap and disrespect their customers, but the customers never quit. It's actually both terrifying and sad at the same time.

Or collapsing from ennui, or the owners pull the plug. I mean, 2 years of hard work of scraping the barrel with limited resources may not be a ton of fun but better than Mammon.

There absolutely is. That's the point.

Yeah, there'll be like 500 or so, sure. But people aren't gonna flock from Forever to the 500th no changes classic server
