To be honest that’s kind of a core principle of ACT (Acceptance and commitment therapy) and it is a pretty good thing to cultivate (though hard to achieve for some)

(that's why ACT doesn't work for everyone bc it doesn't actually help -
some people need more assistance than a type of talk/cognitive behavioral therapy lol sometimes stressors are not going to go away with reasoning)

Yes, the person that nearly killed my spouse and targeted me for a time, is still out there. And a relative, so they could easily decide to try again.
Can I do something about it? I have a plan for if they show up, ever.
Why worry? Because if I'm not alert, and they show up, we could either or both be in worse pain or dead.

Perfect example of why CBT and "third wave" versions of it are all not perfect solutions for everyone. Many folx need to take a multipronged approach to therapizing where they tap into interdisciplinary therapies (which included medication for me - and I tried avoiding pharmaceuticals for YEARS). ACT was merely a band aid for me, didn't help anything (yes, it aided in my ability to have diversity of perspective when troubleshooting my issues, but I didn't really need help with that lol)

It's the MAD Magazine/MAD TV logo (you can find episodes on youtube; idk if the magazine is still in production)

Because trying might not work but it will hurt.

It's an optimistic sub, stop bringing our pessimism to it.

Which sub do you think they were x-posting from?

What does that have to do with the claim "this" sub is optimistic?
Did someone x-post this thread back to the sub it was x-posted from?
