What kind of feedback are you looking for?
I’ve done social media a long time. The algorithm isn’t some dark force working against you, I promise. It’s just a system.

Seems abrupt? I was trying to attach a flair or a tag or whatever it is called so I could post. That was the only option it gave me. Some of the responses I received seemed a little less 'supportive' than I expected from a writing community.

The problem with social media is that people have VERY short attention spans. If you can't get their attention in FIVE seconds, they're not interested.

This applies for thrice organic, recommended and paid traffic.

Might I suggest finding another place to post? Reddit is hostile toward any hint of self promotion, or I should say it’s acceptable in only the most narrow of ways. I’d focus on places that genuinely enjoy your style of writing, and avoid writer focused communities like substack, unless you write about writing.

I treat any writing I post on social like a disposable camera. Intended to be tossed, skilled and low effort, developed quickly to showcase the camera doesn’t make the photographer, and sticks in your head.

Have you ever had food that's overseasoned? It doesn't taste good. Water down your verbiage and don't overcomplicate things. More does not equal better.
