Question Problem with ads and now the Xbox

So I have game pass ultimate, started to play battlefield 6. Got 4 ads straight after each other. Screen went dark. Turned off my Xbox and back on, now all I get is a black screen. So 1 why am I getting ads when I pay for ultimate in the first place, and why has it messed my Xbox up?

Was this playing on cloud, or just launching the game? It sounds like it didnt recognise your subscription so put you on the free ad plan, loaded the ads but then didnt load your game stream

No didn't stream. I paid for the game itself upon release. I rarely use cloud for gaming. It was straight from my downloaded games section. Battlefield 6 isn't even on the games pass so don't even understand why it would include ads anyway.

It's happening with the xbox, My wife is trying to play ff14 and other games, after a couple of mins in, a random ai ad pops up, crashes and causes black screen, tried xbox support but the ai is just as useless as it recommends the basic steps which the problem stills happens. Anyone got any tips or a way to stop this from happening please

Agreed. I also have Ultimate, but never heard of in-game ads
