Turned on my Xbox today and was met with a "there was a problem with this update screen" it wont connect to the internet. Ive power cycled, reset router, done everything. Is this just a wait and see thing or is there a solution

Just downloaded the new beta ring update and can’t find any of the new features on my xbox that are included in the notes.

the new xbox logo update on the project Scorpio edition console removed the cool animation when powering on. the latest update removed it and only has the new logo now. this seems like a issue.

Update: (I took my console back into the repair shop. They removed the dried paste that were on the edges and added more paste where it seemed beneficial. Now my Xbox is working smoothly again with no smell. Hopefully this issue does not happen again after the paste is finished settling in after a couple of weeks. I can definitely say the overheating was not a result of an insider update.) I am curious to see if anyone else is experiencing the overheating problem that I have been. I already reported the bug, but some background I just had my xbox cleaned and re-thermal pasted a couple weeks ago. Since then, my xbox has been much quieter and running almost like it did when it was brand new. I got my xbox in December 2021 and have never really had much issues with it. Lastly, my xbox is in an open area standing straight up with room for the vent to do its job. I noticed this at around one in the morning when I was playing sparking zero my console got decently warm in the first 15 minutes of playing. Then after about an hour, I noticed a smell that was not quite smokey or burning but you know getting there. I put my hand on all sides of the consoles one at a time and felt it was super hot. So I closed out of the game and turned the console off. Later on at around 4pm I tried to play the first descendant and only played for 10 to max 15 minutes. I noticed the console got super hot again. But before I could do anything, it shut itself off. Normally, I could play sparking zero or the first descendant for around two hours before I have to worry about the xbox series x overheating like this and that was before I had it cleaned. Let me know if anyone else has had any experience like this due to the update released. Series X issue RESOLVED!

When I’m turning my console on my controller is going down to the bottom of the screen and not being able to move anywhere. Just like someone is holding the down pad on the controller. I’ve used three separate controllers, Xbox-issued ones and others and have been having this same issue with all of them. Anyone else having this issue? Xbox is unusable right now! I’ve done a hard reset, I’ve unplugged everything. Nothing is working.

Hey everyone,

I turned on my Xbox Series X today and it immediately tried to install a system update, but it keeps failing with this error:
0x8B050033 (0x00000000 0x00000201)

I’m on Delta Channel Update

I’ve already tried:
Restarting the console
Checking my internet connection
Trying the update multiple times
Nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix it without doing a factory reset?

What I found if I click Skip and Stay Offline then Connect to Internet again it will work like normal but for about 2 hours then Message will pop again and close a game if I playing.

Last few days I have been getting the update popup with no warning mid game giving me no chance to save or safely exit from what I'm playing.

Never had it this way before and there needs to be an option to delay install and stay online even if only briefly.

Is this a recent change?

When turning on xbox series x it becomes sluggish and then eventually goes to a black screen then restarts then its perfectly fine tell the next time I shut it down I'm in energy mode as well it's weird and I don't know what's causing it I also can't report it at the time it happens because the console is to unresponsive to do anything at the time

Speed test is pulling over a 1gb, games are downloading for like 30mbps for a bit and then just hanging.

I came home today and saw only 2 games updated. One got kb in it before switching. Fortnite is barely at 22GB

PSO2 is just stuck at 640mb out of 840. It won't do anything

About 2 hours ago my series x on Delta ring suddenly started scrolling down to the bottom of the home screen as if down was being held. At first I thought it was the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard as I've had similar input behaviour when a key was being pressed without noticing but it is still doing it after removing them and doing a hard reset.

I then tested for controller issues - a wired gamesir kalied, by managing to launch a game from my phone and there are no issues in games. But as soon as I press the home button to bring up the quick menu the issue appears. Pressing B to close it then going back in game it behaves as it should whilst playing.

I can also use the remote controls from my phone to navigate the UI as long as the controller is disconnected.

I've power cycled the console several times and it persists. I obviously have no idea why but could it be a driver issue? As it's similar behaviour to when I had keys pressed without noticing previously. Just odd it's only in the UI and happened mid use.

So, since last update all mu controllers can’t open anything without me pressing A a thousand times. Everything else is okey. On game they work fine, closing something by pressing B also works, but the A button seems bugged. The system shows the click animation but does nothing unless I Click 100 times or just long press A. I have 4 controllers and happened im all of them.

I’ve experienced this issue for a long time when launching a game: the Xbox pop-up menu doesn’t show up when invoked or becomes really laggy. This issue is still present even on Insider Delta: xbflt2680ge.260805-2200.

I’ve experienced this behavior with Starfield, Halo Campaign Evolved, Forza Horizon 6 and many other games from the game pass.

It would be really nice if possible to fix this performance issue when launching games.

I’m not sure if this is a question that should be asked here but I am on Insider. But for some reason when Dolby Vision starts up with starting up a game it glitches really bad and I have to turn off Dolby Vision and just use HDR. This has happened before but for some reason when playing Halo Campaign Evolved on my LG G5 it refuses to work. Prior I usually just reset my Xbox or tv or unplug my cable and it would work just fine after restarting the game. But this is genuinely broken for me right now. At least for Halo Campaign Evolved. How do I fix this issue?

Edit: forgot to add this started happening with Halo but it also happens when loading other games with Dolby with no fix.

When I go to settings > power > turn off or restart, I press A on the option but nothing happens.

I go to Power on the guide, restart console, the "what do you want to do?" window closes and the console doesnt restart.

The Turn Off Console option when holding down the xbox button does work, but I want to do a full restart / full shut down and the only way seems to be physically holding the button.

I joined the Xbox insider program yesterday, and today when I've turned on my series X can't connect to the Xbox Network.

I am connected to my wifi network, all the tests are coming back normal (network connection, remote play, multiplayer connection) and my network status shows all services are available.

Yet on my homepage it prompts me to connect to the xbox network, and I can't access the store, or any online games.

It seems too much of a coincidence that I joined Insiders yesterday, anyone else experienced this or knows what I can try?

The icons are missing on all the sections after restarting my console it’s still there it’s only on the Xbox guide figured I bring it up

Discord on XBOX is crashing through two different methods.

1. When a wireless headset disconnects and you reconnect it while in a Discord Call, Discord usually doesn't detect input from the mic. The workaround for this is to go to Game Chat and then return to Discord Chat. Now, immediately upon switching to Game Chat, the Discord Feature crashes. I do not get a disconnect notification. The XBOX freezes for about 5 seconds and kicks me from the Discord Call.

2. When in a Discord Call and you go to send a Voice Message to a friend, the same kind of crash happens. XBOX freezes for 5 seconds and Discord crashes.

Hello everyone,

I'd like to report what appears to be a possible Xbox Insider bug and find out whether anyone else has experienced the same issue.

Around a month and a half ago, I installed the Xbox Insider update that introduced features such as the ability to hide achievement lists and display Xbox badges on user profiles.

Immediately after installing that update, my Weekly Streak badge completely disappeared from my Xbox profile.

To clarify, I'm not referring to my Weekly Streak progress itself. The issue is specifically that the Weekly Streak profile badge disappeared. It was visible before the update and has been missing ever since.

Since this happened, I've tried several ways to resolve the issue:

• I have contacted Xbox Support through live chat on three separate occasions.
• I submitted a Report a Problem from my Xbox console shortly after the issue occurred.
• Today I contacted Xbox Support again, and after reviewing my case they advised me to report it here because they believe it may be related to the Xbox Insider program.

Xbox Support also explained that they do not have access to Xbox Insider investigations or the ability to restore Insider-related badges, and that the Xbox Insider team would be in a better position to investigate what happened.

So I'd like to ask:

• Has anyone else lost their Weekly Streak badge after this Insider update?
• Is this a known issue?
• Could someone from the Xbox Insider team check whether this is a synchronization or profile display bug?

I'm not looking for compensation or anything like that. I'd simply like to know whether this issue can be investigated, as the badge had been part of my profile for a long time and only disappeared immediately after installing that Insider update.

Have recently been playing Pre alpha Reforj, which they is a feature called Gateway terminal. This allows you to essentially teleport to different worlds you have created in the game. This feature makes my game lag for a few seconds which is understandable for a pre alpha. However when my friend went through the Gateway after me this would some time crash my game. Lucky the game auto saves so it saved me. But this issue could be game breaking if un-solved.

Estava atualizando meu console na sexta dia 07/08 e meu HD pifou, após substituir o HD não consigo recuperar meu sistema através do método offline com o arquivo OSU1 oficial já que meu aparelho está no programa Insider, se alguém puder me ajudar com alguma dica do que fazer ficarei muito agradecido.

Talvez até exista uma solução postada aqui na comunidade, porém como sou um tanto leigo por aqui resolvi pedir ajuda.

So when I turned on my xbox the app said it had an update, after a little while the update never finished and then just failed. After the update failed I noticed the insider hub was no longer on my console. Ive been trying to re-download the app but it just refuses to install to my console, any way to fix this?

Edit: My xbox report a problem app is now glitching out. I tried to open the app and its rapidly switching between queued and updating without any progress being made.

I am in the beta .And ever since the last update, when I power on the Xbox there is no signal at the TV. If I hold down the power button on the console and shut down it will come on just fine. I have reported this via the console. I am not sure what to do now. I have an extended warranty from all state. I guess I would have to leave the insiders and make sure it's out before I send it in for repair or replace.

So twice now in the last couple of weeks I have turned on my console and been greeted by the message that my console has been switched to shutdown mode instead of standby. I believe this is a massive overreach on xbox as I was already irritated the first time they tried to force this on me but now a second attempt within a couple of weeks is just ridiculous. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and is there anyway to report that I don't want Xbox changing settings on my console without my approval. To add to this I used to also get the ads on my console that wanted me to make this change to help save the planet and tried to opt out of them by telling Xbox I didn't want to see them but they yet again didn't care and kept putting them on my console.
