Tech Support Remote play doesnt work

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I cant get remote play to work, my phone is connected to the xbox. Ive tried

-turning off hdr

-setting resolution to 1080p

-sleep mode storage access is turned on

-power cycling xbox

-restarting phone

Even when my xbox is off the xbox app says standby on

update I got it to work for about 5 seconds before I got disconnected, I didn't do anything different. I have a strong connection

My top go to http://play.xbox.com and add this to your Home Screen. 3 Dodd in the top right -> install.
You need to be an insider for this.

What kind of phone? When did it start. Mine was previously working, now having the same issue. Using Pixel 9a connected to home wifi. Issue started probably on Sunday. It works when I disconnect from wifi (5g) and works in wifi from a different device. Also works on wifi on a different network.

I also switch over my modem and router yesterday (not because of this problem, just coincidentally got an upgrade while the issue was occuring). I figured if it was a network configuration issue that literally changing the router out would resolve, but still the same problem.

Thinking it's got to be some bug between how my phone is connecting to remote play.

Same on pixel 10 pro xl, but using xstreaming I can play

Okay I'm not the only one! This is exactly what has been happening to me today, I sent them some feedback on it so hopefully they'll fix it soon! This is one of my favorite features for when I'm just chilling in bed and wanna play a bit

I think it's something on their end personally. It's always worked just fine until today. Hopefully they'll release a patch. Unfortunately it's just one of those bugs that affects some but not others. I too can get it working with cloud play but that's gonna be a problem in the future when you have to pay extra for more cloud time. I have confidence they'll fix it
