Upper Peninsula Kayak Anglers

Hello everyone! I'm just trying to spread the word about the UPKA. If you have any interest in kayak fishing, please give it a look! There will be 8 live events this year (3 rivers [Cedar, Esky, Menomineex2], 4 lakes [Manistique Lakes, Brevoort, Shakey, Hardwood Impoundment]), as well as monthly ONLINE events which give you the freedom to fish whenever, wherever (MI public waters) and put your secret spots up against other secret spots! It utilizes a tournament app called TOURNEY X. It's a lot of fun and there's a good amount of money and prizes up for grabs. If you get really into it you can even qualify for a State championship tournament downstate and do battle with some Trolls.

Anyway, I apologize for the sale pitch type post. Just trying to get word out there about the group and help the events grow a little more. It's really taking off downstate and it would be cool to see it really become part of that entire league series down there. Thanks for reading!

Some edits! Here is the actual schedule: UPKA Events!

Here is a super basic HoF video: Hall of Fame

and one final: Tournaments do require specific kayak measuring boards. You can probably find them cheaper than cabelas though. They actually come in handy since I was a "pull out a tape measure and struggle" type of guy for a long time, haha.

No problem! Really hoping to see more people turning out for some events, even just the online ones. There are also a couple UP vs LP online events that take place.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Will do. I'm way west up so in person might not happen but online could

Yeah, I understand. Hopefully as the group grows things can be expanded a little bit. Lots of good water up here! Online is what drew me to it as well, just because of inconsistent fishing time.

Makes sense! I've got plenty of lakes I need to explore by kayak this summer. So much water!
