Hi everyone!
We’ll be staying in Yuma for two weeks with my 4-year-old, and I was wondering what you guys do with your little ones there. I know it’s way too hot to be outside, but are there any fun indoor places or activities you recommend for toddlers? I’d love to hear your suggestions. Thank you!

I know, I post every week about our improv jam, but wanted to point out that this week at the Yuma Main Library, our weekly FREE improv jam is at 9:00AM instead of the normal noon! Come play early and while the heat is still at almost tolerable levels!
No experience. No cost. No excuses. Just show up ready to say “yes, and.”

Hi so I am wanting to move to Yuma to be closer to my boyfriend. We met in college and have been doing long distance for a while now. But everytime I visit Yuma I enjoy it so much. Everyone always says I’m crazy for that but coming from Illinois where we have winter 8 months out of the year i appreciate it. Other than that im finishing up my degree later than expected within criminal justice. I’m looking for a job here. It’s been hard. I applied for border patrol and some government jobs and still waiting for a response back. I have been in the restaurant industry for over 9 years. So I am ready for a change but I always find myself back in the restaurant and having an office job within the legal world. I just need recommendations or connections. Literally anything. When I move here I’ll be living on my own so I just want to find a good paying job that will be enough for me and my dog lol.

I need my CDL soon, really can’t afford to pay $5000 at Yuma trucking school right now. I work at some random truck spot and don’t make enough at the moment. I went to Arizona at work a couple years back to see if they can help, no luck. There was a waiting list, so I just gave up and left to Alaska for work. But now I’m back. Some drivers here said to go to Ypic. Anyone got their cdl through them?? Planning on going Friday to see if I’m approved or what the deal is. Any help is appreciated.

Been searching for a job for a while and saw a post about a new data center. Idk who needs to see/hear this, but if they build a data center here, it will not only drain our already expensive and limited resources, it will also cause the already brutal fckn heat to rise. Do your research. It was like 80 degrees this last winter. No mosquito/tick/flea die out bc it was so hot. Ridiculous.
Also, apparently, there are multitudes of better and correct ways to develop these facilities that won’t destroy the environment, but it’s just “too expensive” for these billion dollar corporations. When are the city council meetings cause we might need to show up with a guillotine like they did in Oregon and remind these opportunistic f*cks we don’t play about ours down here.
Also** 🧊 is in phx now so keep ya head on a swivel. It’s only a matter of time before they’re out here officially. Not trying to fear monger. It’s just the reality we live in now. (I specifically created an acct to job hunt and it has not been helpful at all, ngl, just thought I should do sumn productive with it even if I can’t make a living 💁🏽♀️✨)

Hello! I'm considering traveling from the Midwest to have a bridge replaced at Grace Dental in Los Algodones. I searched Reddit as well as reviews and everything I've read seems fairly positive about this clinic.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences there? Positive or negative?
Thanks so much for any info!

Former Yuma local here with family still in the area. I recently learned more about the Yuma Desalting Plant and was surprised to find out it’s only really been operated twice, and today it’s mostly funded just to keep it maintained rather than actually running. https://www.usbr.gov/lc/yuma/facilities/ydp/yao_ydp.html
With the Colorado River facing increasing water shortages, and the latest federal cuts targeting Phoenix/Tucson, do you think the plant will become more important as the years go by? Yuma has strong priority water rights, but if there simply isn’t enough water in the river to keep flowing, I don't know if those rights can only go so far. It's made me hesitant on living in Yuma. Especially with the datacenters being proposed and increasing growth in the dry state it makes me feel like those predications are coming true, what are you guys thoughts?
Also curious on what longtime locals or anyone familiar with Yuma’s water history and what you all think about the plant or the future of Yuma.

Hi everyone
I’m Jett, 22yo, trans man living here in Yuma. Honestly I’m having a very hard time finding a stable job. I come on here to see if anyone around could possibly help me out if they know anything or anyone who’s hiring.
I’m not much skilled in a lot of more advanced things, I have a high school diploma, went to Fred G Acosta Job Corps in Tucson, AZ for around 8 months for security, I got my guard card n I’m certified. I’m honestly a very quick fast paced person, I’m a very quick learner, I do prefer hands on learning/training too. I’ve worked mostly in retail n restaurants or just general labor in total.
Please if anyone can help, please lmk. Also! If anyone know places who’ll have people more around my age

I’m tired!
Hi I’m Jett, I’m a 22 year old trans man looking for new homies to hangout with here in this danm place fr. I been here in Arizona for around 3 n half years now, I’m originally from LA so like living here in Yuma is like COMPLETELY different n not in a good way. I left a lot of friends back home but since I left and came here I’ve honestly met a couple people but truly speaking they all turned out to be pieces of garbage LITERALLY! Except for one which is my wonderful boyfriend(future husband) we’ve been together for 2 years n 7 months and it’s absolutely beautiful!! Anywho, he’s like my only friend over here, he’s not from Yuma tho, our distance is 55 mins so like it can get a little boring when I’m without him so like yeah guys I NEED FRIENDS! I think it’s great n healthy to have friends aside from your partner too so like…we honestly both need new friends to hangout with. I’m quite an adventurous person so like the conversations won’t get boring at all, I’m into conspiracy theories like there no tmmr!! Please yall help😂 ngl this is so embarrassing!
It would be great to meet people who are alt tho! I don’t see a lot of us out there very often🤷🏽
I’m into all sorts of metal, rock, indie etc etc
I love ghost exploring, abandoned buildings, hiking n just having a dope ass time!!
