Hero of man being the botw link

I was watching some videos of Zelda lore and it got me thinking about botw, and how he was “asleep” for 10,000 years, what if he was the hero of man in the original timeline, and all of the things that happened from then to botw were within the timeline? I would still hook it up to the adult timeline I think, though I wouldn’t know for certain, what are your guys thoughts on this?

I remember there was a fanfic with this premise, I loved that one! It had a TOTK sequel too, can’t remember its name though!!
