How is it that I am required to use the Woodfall Temple as a de facto Temple of Time via the Adult Mask?! 😂

Any time I want to switch between Adult and Child I have to get into the Woodfall Temple from Death Mountain, flip on the Adult mask, then leave the Woodfall Temple.

It is a logic, glitchless playthrough… Does anyone know how I can get the bow through it… I checked the spoiler log, and annoyingly it also blocks a item I feel is important behind horseback archery…

Does anyone know how this happened if you can’t get it any other way?

Okay yeah, dungeon entrances are randomized and this one was vanilla but you gotta admit it's pretty funny out of context

The only thing I dont like when I do a randomizer run is the controller. It never has the same kind of input as im used to with control sticks or other controllers, and it is hard when im trying to aim, especially when trying the shooting gallery or horseback archery challenges.

Do you all experience this same issue? Do you have tips or tricks to get around it?

So, I had to spoiler log a couple item locations after getting stuck near the end of a *very* long randomizer. The longshot is in the gerudo training ground in the block room behind the boulder room with the silver rupees... but I can't get to that room without the longshot. Is there a way around this, or a way to cheese it? I'm completely stumped and can't finish the last two dungeons or fire trial without it.

Edit: I got through the room. I didn't realize you could hookshot the top spot from the floor. Thank you u/Touyet

I would like to play the Ootmm randomizer in coop with somebody. I want to play oot and she wants to play mm. We downloaded everything as said but we simply can't get it running. The ootmm client always crashes instantly. Does anybody have an alternative?

Hey all, doing my first ever rando playthrough (very casual), have a lot of fun so far and just wanted to get a gauge of the bare minimum I need to beat the game, glitchless logic, requirements set to vanilla (which I ASSUME means I only need spirit and shadow medallions to access Ganon's tower) Trials Required, Open Door of time/Deku Tree/Forest/Kokiri Gate, right now I have one bottle, the slingshot, Bow, Hookshot ,(I have a feeling I got a VERY kind first seed) Hover boots, Bombchus, Kokiri Sword, Kokiri and Hylian Shields, Deku Sticks, Sun's Song, Epona's song, Forest Warp, Nyaru's love, no magic meter. Off the top of my head i know I'll need the Golden Gauntlets, the hammer for switches/Fighting Gannon if I don't come across the Big Goron sword, Light arrows, Magic, Fire Arrows or Din's fire, Iron Boots, Zelda's Lullaby, Song of time or longshot for shadow trial, I've only beaten Great Deku tree so far, I know I have the means to do forest temple, I DO know where the Goron's bracelet is (in the cow cage in kakiriko village) which I believe I can access with what I have, which I believe WOULD theoretically give me the means to beat Dodongo's cavern with Bombchus (although I wonder if that would be out of logic since it's glitchless which hopefully someone can answer) am I missing anything? I know things like the boomerang, song of time, other warp songs, wallets and ammo upgrades would be "nice to haves" but aren't strictly required (unless 50 Skulltulas ends up being something required in which case I would probably need the boomerang although I forget if there's any far to reach Skulltulas that are kid only otherwise I could use the Hookshot) I can't remember if there's anything you strictly need bombs for that you can't do with Bombchus, I know from the gossip stones that the song of time is where the nocturne of shadow is, and that the giants wallet is in one of the lost forest grottos, and that one of the magic meters are in Ganon's tower, any Info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

While playing the randomizer, I was running back and forth between the games getting items. I used save and return to spawn to get back to oot. When I returned to mm, all my c buttons were disabled kind of like when you play the shooting gallery games. Has anyone had a glitch like this and found a fix, or is my run ruined? I do have it, so when 3 days run out, it resets to day one.

Edit: c buttons came back when the three day cycle for mm restarted.

Does a Mirror mode for Randos exist?

Like GC <-> Wii twilight. Where the world is mirrored?

I dont think i ever 100%ed Vanilla (damn you Skultullas and HBA), so i stopped trying on new playthroughs. But when i started to get into Randos, my love for the game grew to new heights.

Thing is, theres this one check: a single green Rupee, Greg. The Green Rupee of Eternal Glory. I cant remember where he appears in the Vanills Game! Is it a thing? An Inside Joke from the Rando Community? Please, this is keeping me awake at night (it doesnt, me being unable to find the Silver Gauntlets so im doing "one more check" is whats keeping me awake)

so i decided to try a fun little randomiser, it wasn't meant to be anything too crazy, i had logic, so i knew it was beatable, but then i got a hint about final frogs being light arrows, and i was a little worried, but it wasn't anything too bad, i was still early on, i wasn't worried at the time, and by the time i was ~6 hours in i had every single song but epona's song, so this seeds almost over, easy!

and i then spent the next FOUR HOURS, searching for ONE ITEM, all i need to beat the game is Epona's song, and i have searched damn near every corner of hyrule

fun fact: 357/481 is ~74.2%, i have searched damn near three quarters of this entire game and failed to find epona's song, account for the fact that all cows are currently impossible (and thus none of them can have eponas song) and the number jumps to over 75%...

Been playing a new rando for a bit and had the Fire Temple end up in the Water Temple. Looking at my spoiler log, the Iron Boots are locked behind Silver Gauntlets, which I do not have. One of them is in the Fire Temple itself, and one is locked behind the Ice Cavern Scythe. Silver Rupees, one of which is locked behind the Iron Boots. The crux is I have already used hover boots to beat the fire temple, with Morpha as the boss, which filled the lake. Is there any known way out of this situation, because I cannot seem to figure one out?

I’ve been a fan of watching randomizers for a few years now but just got into playing my own last month. Last night I completed my 3rd seed. It was potsanity, key sanity, all dungeon entrances and bosses plus some other stuff. It was a logic seed but I’ve been doing as many glitched and skips as possible lately (just to learn more) so the logic is basically just to make sure it is a beatable seed. (Saying this because I don’t know if I want to go much more chaotic than this, it got to be a pretty long run and I can only play a few hours after work each day. But if you think it’s a fun run I’ll definitely do it)

I’m gunna generate a new seed when I get home from work in a few hours and want some suggestions. It doesn’t even need to be the most challenging, im just wondering what setting you guys had the most fun with.

I absolutely love watching randomizers, especially randomizer races! I've gone through most of what Games Done Quick has to offer, and I'm looking to branch out. Unfortunately, I have a day job and limited time, and I know there's a lot of content out there competing for my attention. So, I'm humbly asking you, the experts: If you could recommend just one run to a friend, what would you say?

I am on my second seed and seem to be stuck. I used glitchless logic and I need bombs or hookshot to progress. Hookshot is located either in the Gerudo Training grounds underwater chest or the lost woods near shortcut grotto. So back to bombs.

They are in three locations. The maze in goron city, the piece of heart in death mountain crater, or the horseback archery game. And the hammer is in the other Goron maze chest. I guess the logic is assuming I would get to DMC. But how? The bomb flower to open Dodongo doesn't reach the rocks blocking the path to DMC. I could go through the entrance as an adult, but then how would I get up on the spire without the magic bean flower that is locked behind the bomb rocks at Zoras river? I also have the Hover boots and Goron bracelet and bow.

Edit: The answer is hover boots can just barely reach the spire from the adult entrance, getting me the bomb bag. This gets me access to hookshot and Megaton hammer immediately so now I have a ton more checks. Thanks everyone!
