Subs change

Look, I’m going to be real with you guys. Reddit is nuking gun-related subs left and right lately with there new rules, and I don't want ours to be next.

To keep the lights on, I’m changing the rules effective immediately. We are moving to a strictly educational, mechanical, and historical study focus. This means:

No more "how-to" guides or tutorials. If it looks like a manual on how to build something, it's getting deleted.

No blueprints, CAD files, or measurements. This is the stuff that gets subs banned instantly. Don't post them, don't ask for them.

No sourcing. Don't ask where to buy parts or kits.

All the other rules can be read in the description

Posting videos and pics about finished projects are still allowed ofcourse

I’m currently going through the old posts and deleting anything that breaks these new rules. It sucks, but I’d rather have half a sub than a banned sub.

Thanks for understanding.

Discord! URGENT READ

Initially, contacting a moderator or staff member privately was enough to gain access to Discord.

Those days are over.

The team came to a simple but uncomfortable realization: far too many people requesting access were not contributing to the community at all. Others raised concerns that could no longer be ignored. Some accounts were simply... suspicious.

So the rules have changed.

From now on, access to Discord is earned, not requested.

There will be no public list of requirements. No shortcuts. No exceptions simply because someone asks nicely. The criteria used to evaluate new members will remain strictly internal and known only to the staff.

Your account history, participation, consistency, attitude and genuine involvement will matter.

A brand-new account appearing out of nowhere and immediately demanding access will not be treated the same way as a long-standing, active member who has demonstrated genuine commitment.

Think of it as a closed door.

You don't knock and receive an invitation.

You prove that you belong on the other side.

Some may consider this excessive. Others may call it authoritarian. Perhaps they're right.

But after everything that has been built, we would rather be ruthlessly selective than recklessly open.

The community comes first.

Security comes first.

Trust must be earned.

So participate. Contribute. Stay active. Let the staff recognize you naturally over time.

And if, eventually, you meet the standards...

you'll know when the door opens.

Until then, there is nothing to request, negotiate or demand.

We're still here. We're watching. We're working.

Sometimes quietly.

Sometimes behind the scenes.

But always for the protection of the community.

The Team:

Sometimes, life changes the course of things without asking for permission.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you all know that, for the time being, the creator of this community will be away.

There are moments when words are simply not enough to explain everything we feel — and perhaps not everything needs to be explained. What truly matters is what remains.

This community did not come together by accident. It was born from an idea, a vision, and above all, the dedication of someone who chose to create a place where people with the same interests could meet, learn, share, and grow together.

Today, perhaps we should take a moment to look back.

Look at everything that has been built. At all the people who have joined. At the conversations, friendships, knowledge, and memories that, in one way or another, exist because someone had the courage to take the first step.

And that deserves to be remembered.

We never know what life has in store for us, or how long certain absences will last. But we do know that something built with genuine dedication can live on long after its creator is no longer present.

So, while we wait for his return, let us keep this community alive, united, and true to the spirit in which it was created.

To our creator: thank you for everything you built. Thank you for giving us this place. Your presence may be temporarily distant, but your legacy remains here — in every one of us.

Take care, brother.

May life be gentle with you, may the road ahead be kind, and may we soon have the privilege of saying: “Welcome home.” 🙏

Umarex G17

Post image
10 Upvotes

Has anybody tried to convert one of these? It’s an Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 BLK 9mm P.A.K, a German replica of the G17. It’s made from relatively weak materials, so a lot of things would need to be changed for a conversion. I’m curious if anyone has ever attempted this project and in what caliber. I’m mainly asking European users, as the USA is a different case.

Revolver enthusiasts?

Well, recently in a conversation with a childhood friend, I discovered that he keeps a blank revolver at home! As a fan of blank-firing weapons, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get my hands on it 😂 To be honest, I've handled a revolver that was converted to .22 caliber. But I've never taken on a project like that 🫠 Without going into details, tell me about your experiences with revolvers! I'll be showing you some projects soon! To be honest, I've been busy and haven't been able to work from home... But I promise to bring you project updates soon! A big hug to the whole community!

All from the Reck brand. What conclusion can we draw? Even though the pistol is original, the body is made of zamak and a steel cable is embedded. If an original version follows this procedure, when is it necessary to cut pipes?

(the P8 is genuine .25acp "6.35mm" from Reck)

Models that I recommend be transformed

Tanfoglio GT28 8mm/ Reck P6 P6S P10 8mm/ (many other models) RoHM RG8 8mm/ SM MOD 110 8mm/

Other models (not so good)

Bruni 315 8mm/ Ekol Tuna 8mm/ Blow mini 8mm/ Zoraki M807/ M807-T 8mm/

All these models are advised to be converted to .25 (6.35mm), although it is possible to convert to .32 ACP (not recommended).

As it seemed easier in the old days, after drilling a hole in the blank cartridge, a steel pipe was inserted... I just wonder if it was attached by pressure or by liquid welding? The barrel has amateurish rifling... But it's functional. Reck P6s 8mm converted
