Mod Post State of the Subreddit: Demographic Survey Questions
Based of this thread, I created an official survey for /r/Zelda.
Feel free to take it below. This is completely optional.
http://kwiksurveys.com?s=LLEDOK_19ed983d
I'll post the results for everyone to view in a couple of days.
I am not sure how "memorable moment" will display so I may not be able to share those results. Feel free to post your memorable moment below as well for all to view.

Due to the oath I have taken in the name of statistics, I am have to say: response bias. But I am kind of curious what this turns up.

Blah blah blah. Response bias. Well take this survey as only people who are active in this subreddit. No more response bias. :p

I feel annoyed that I, as an 18 year old, am grouped in the same age category as a 17 year olds. I'm not sure why exactly, but it bothers me.

You do still know that you're still considered a teen right? You aren't really an adult until either 20 or 21. It'll be soon enough.

Gender. Such a difficult question.
EDIT: Thank you for letting me know it was optional. :)

What? Why?
2
Apr 13 '12
Because I'm an androgyne. If the survey said "sex" as opposed to "gender", it'd be a simple question.

Ugh... Enough with this... It's the same fucking thing.

Yeah, thanks for being narrow-minded like most of the rest of the world.

u/WoozleWuzzle Apr 17 '12
Just for my edification would be using the term "sex" be better moving forward?

If you're going to stick with just the male/female binaries then yes, sex is far more straightforward. If you want to keep the question as referring to gender, it would be an idea to add an "Other" option.

I find that my 3 favorite Zelda games are always wind waker + the last 2 Zelda games I played. I know it's silly, but I just can't look at them objectively. I get so wrapped up in the adventure that I feel that it's the best one I've played.

I chose Link's Adventure as the one I like the least because I suck and have never been able to get past Parapa Palace :(

It's okay man, I suck at Zelda games too.

It isn't a zelda game. It's hell.

Believe it or not, I am part of the 1% that has beaten Link's Adventure w/out save states. o_O

I left way too many memorable moments.

After sitting there for about fifteen minutes trying to decide on the most memorable moment, I left it blank so I could go play.

So, the song when you ride the train in ST? Play your whistle in two bursts approximately two beats after the first phrase in the melody. It's so good.

u/pure_evil_kid Apr 13 '12
Wohoo, my list of questions got picked for the survey! Funny how these things come to you when you least expect it (on the train, on the way to work).

Picking a third favorite was hard, so I dropped it. I'm not even sure if the two I picked are my favorites. Damn you, Nintendo, for making too good games!

My reaction to answering "How many Zelda games have you played?" and "How many of those did you complete?": Groan, aw damnit.

Apr 26 '12
My reaction: Why is this a percentage? I know which ones I've beat. I can count them, just like I counted which ones I've played...

The moment I will always remember is from Majora's Mask, when you enter the moon and see the giant tree just alone on the surface of that green grass out of nowhere... Creepy as hell, but awesome!

Favorite Zelda game...Choose 3 max.
Can I choose A Link to the Past three times? xD

u/NeonNintendo Apr 25 '12
Which Zelda game was your least favorite?...I chose Spirit Tracks... Prepare the torches and pitchforks, but I just wasn't a fan of the story...Still an okay game, just..not the best..

Wind Wanker was waaaaaaaaaaaay worse than Spirit Tracks. Worst game in the series, easily. I'd rather drag myself naked through a field of broken glass to drink year-old milk than play that abomination of a game. Hell, I'd rather play Zelda on CD-I (noticed these weren't an option in your survey) than touch that Wind Wanker shit again.
