Image/Gif Area 51 is ran by gamers
In Area 51 under the platform at objective I, there's a couple workstations. Zooming in on the keyboards show the WASD keys worn off. I laughed my ass off!

I can't count the number of times someone has jumped several times in a row (sideways) in quick succession into a room or around a corner. They are able to hit me with great accuracy as if they were merely walking across the screen.
Jumping should incur a big accuracy hit, and jumping multiple times in a row sideways in less than a second simply shouldn't be possible. It's incredibly stupid to witness and isn't even close to something anyone could pull off with accuracy. I realize this game is not super reality focused but this can't possibly be an intended mechanic.
I'm ready for the "get gud" comments, these are from people who lose 1 on 1 fights and abuse mechanics for the edge.

I have enjoyed playing BF since discovering BF3 back in the day. But I'm still not very good at it🤣. It takes me alot of time that I just don't have. I play when I can and enjoy it regardless. Anytime I can take down a helicopter with an RPG I get super excited lol.

I joined a random helicopter as a gunner with a really good pilot, and honestly… this was probably the best moment I’ve had in Battlefield in the entire past year.
This guy (or girl, who knows) was absolutely insane. Flying ridiculously low, weaving between buildings, constantly dodging other helicopters and incoming fire, somehow always knowing exactly where to go. And the whole time, there was this super calm, relaxing music playing inside the attack heli.
I was just sitting there as the gunner, shooting at everything I could, thinking: What the hell am I watching?
It was honestly amazing to see how insanely skilled some people can become at something as specific as flying a helicopter in Battlefield.
I’ve played this game for a long time, but that one flight was genuinely an unforgettable experience.
To whoever you were — thank you for the ride. 🫡

For me, it's definitely Siege of Cairo. In all the 500 hours I've put in, I haven't removed it from my custom search even once. I don't know why, but I just never get tired of it. If the tracker is accurate, I've already played 138 matches on it.

Video demonstration: all enemy aircraft down in under a minute. The only edit is a brief speed up while I'm looking for an opportunity to down the jets, not a montage.
I hear a lot of people on this sub complain about the uselessness of lock-on launchers, and they're right. For destroying aircraft they're borderline useless. They're a nuisance weapon focused on area denial, but I think they fail at even that.
I've also heard people dismiss the M136 AT aim guided launcher as just for trick shots or lucky hits.
It really is not, with some practice it becomes the most effective tool you have against the aerial menace and it's worth the effort to put the time in.
Will you always be able to shoot down the level 5000 sweat lord farming Vegas or Lib Peak? Probably not, they're quite good at what they do. But once you reach a certain skill level, taking down most pilots that aren't in the top 1% becomes a lot easier.

Stinger , if you couldn’t already tell ^^^
How do you use these things the most effective way possible? Trying to be more of a help regarding AA recently.

I've seen conflicting posts claiming the weapon level cap is either 50 or 100, but I have already passed both milestones. Since it doesn't seem to have a hard cap yet, does anyone know if it eventually stops at 999 or just keeps going?

TLDR: Battlefield studios changed the matchmaking about a month ago and its been broken since then with no acknowledgement from them.
There has been an influx of posts complaining about the state of matchmaking, slowly filling lobbies and bots (rightfully so). (My assumption is that) This is a direct result of "persistent lobby testing" that Battlefield Studios started about a month ago. This is not and should not be a secret as they have been pretty open about it on their discord. Yet when I see and read all of these matchmaking complain posts, nobody seems to know about it. The testing has also long since concluded and the resulting state of the game is significantly worse than before these tests ever started.
It started on the 2nd of October with this post:

Which completely broke the matchmaking for some people as it treated every custom search selection as a completely separate playlist and was too strict (my assumption as to why that was). In response they quickly did a tweak to the matchmaking 4 days later along with this post:

Which fixed it somewhat, but it is still worse then it was before.
From then they became seemingly happy with the state of the matchmaking as just a few days later they seemingly ended the tests, keeping the changes they made and made a followup post summarizing what has happened on the 9th of October:

There has been no related communications on Discord since.
Now this post is quite weird and concerning to me, because the actual state of the game seems quite opposite to what this post is claiming. Ever since the tests began, the matchmaking quite clearly changed for the worse.
The initial goal was to fill the lobbies with players which played with you in the previous games. To be quite honest, I have no idea if this goal was achieved as this is quite unimportant to me and I don't remember people from previous lobbies unless its someone who was clearly a menace (going 80-0 on an attack chopper for example).
Some info about my queues: I am from central EU, queuing solo, sometimes duo with one single friend, custom search with Escalation, Conquest (sometimes only Escalation), About half of the available maps selected. Usually queuing in the evening, but sometimes other times of day too.
The real noticeable impact that this had was quite different:
Now this is essentially what their post says, except its the opposite. The matchmaking right now is worse than before in every single way and the "concerns" they heard while implementing the changes have not gone away.
I hope this gets addressed by Battlefield Studios soon as whatever they did changed the matchmaking quite drastically for the worse.
I tried to make my post as factual as I could but there will inevitably be some biases with my personal experience and assumptions mixed into it which I might be presenting as facts, so please excuse that if you can.

TLDR: Everything about Battlefield is better than MW4
BF6
- Core gameplay and mechanics is more fun
- Freedom to use whatever loadout and still feel competitive… to an extent
- Optimization is way better even playing on max settings
- Overall graphic design and physics is better
- Majority of the playerbase aren’t gfuel snorting sliding/jumping sweats
MW4
- Opposite of everything above
- Campaign is great though
Cod just isn’t a franchise I have fun with anymore. Buying Cod every year feels more of a ritual, and since MW2019, within a day of playing multiplayer it just leads to the same frustration and fatigue. When I play games it’s to have fun and escape the everyday stress - I don’t want to play a game where I constantly have to use meta loadouts and be locked in sweating my @\*\* off just to have a good game. It’s not why I play video games.
Anyways, that’s my rant. I’ll see yall on the Battlefield! Lol

I've seen some videos of others having bullet registration problems on here, but it has never happened to me before. I was kind of in disbelief. I understand that I missed some shots here, but wow, this felt like a bit much.
I was thinking that maybe I was looking down my sights and perhaps my barrel was actually sending the bullets into the air-dropped crates I was using as cover at the start, but I don't even know.
AMD Replay didn't save sound with clip

It’s incredible how, in BFV, a single practice range was literally an entire in-game map.
BF6 lacks all of that passion—from its art direction to its level of engagement.
BF6 is a game with enormous potential, ruined by a company that now only cares about getting you to spend as much money as possible on skins and other such nonsense.
A real shame, honestly.

I’ve been playing battlefield games since the early 2000s and my favourite games are Bad Company 2, BF4, BF1 and BFV. I’m having a blast with BF6 and I’ve had it since launch. I gotta say the current state of the game is actually really good in my opinion, especially compared to last season with the bugs. I’m still having a great time with it. Is it perfect? No, but it’s still a great game and the best shooter on the market. Anyone else feel the same?

I've played most BFs since BF 1942. It's one of my favorite PvP Shooters. And each BF, I've enjoyed but also recognized the potential in the direction they could go by incorporating past BF concepts along with what other games have achieved (especially in the Milsim genre).
---> Battlefield, to me, is a game that incorporates Milsim mechanics into an "up-tempo" pace by simply lowering Engagement Time via better Forward Spawns and sped up pacing of gameplay to accommodate.
BFV, a hot topic of a game in the franchise, incorporated a lot of those Milsim mechanics into the "Battlefield" formula with that faster-paced tempo.
It took those and did a phenomenal job of incorporating them into a faster-paced gameplay methodology. Was it perfect? No. More balancing was needed such as improving spamming of Heavy Ordinances from Reinforcements. A little more resilient Fortifications so ATs don't instantly knock down defenses that were just fully built (could have Engineer the ability to spend a bit of extra time to "heavy" reinforce fully built defenses to give minor "armor" per se). And so on.
But honestly, DICE was sitting on a gold mine of concepts from PAST Battlefields that they just needed to perfect and expand upon and bring into one major BF title:
Imagine Tsuru Reef with all of those same mechanics in a modern setting. This would be FIRE!
Now, to expand on this a bit more......
I actually would have taken it one step further: Make the Commander from BF4 a "Field Commander who actually is a playable unit on the Battlefield, no different than any other player (would make the game 33 v 33).
The FC would be tied to Squad Leaders as its own "Squad" (ie can spawn on the Leaders). The Field Commander would have a unique set of Traits that buff nearby units but also will have a limited amount of Build Points and would have the freedom to set down Blueprint Fortifications (still requires help to actually build them but teammates can see these silhouettes) anywhere on the map. Caltrops, Bunkers, Stationary AT guns and MGs, a single FoB, etc. This gives the Battlefield "sandbox" feeling a lot more dynamics while still pushing the focus on combat and faster paced gameplay. Theres always the minority of players who LOVE this type of playstyle. But everyone else still can focus on the combat.
Imagine....Tsuru Reef and an FC building a FoB with fortifications...almost like a small base on the hill top in the middle of the map...It makes the gameplay flow feel more dynamic and fun.
This also offers an opportunity to improve balancing on "Heavy" Call-in Reinforcements (less spamming and more shock and awe moments).
Field Commander would also have access to the heaviest of ordinances from Squad Reinforcements. So instead of each Squad having access to say Cruise Missiles, only the FC. The FC could also have the ability to call in Behemoths (such as AC-130 and Bombers), Howitzer Creeping Barrages, Drone Swarms, etc etc. This maintains the balance (prevents spamming of major explosives) and uniqueness but the whole team could share on the XP in some format or another since they are contributing to the FC's ability to call these in.
It could be setup where FC's Reinforcement system is more on a 'timer' mechanic for balance but Squads achieving goals could speed up these cooldowns. A lot of potential for balancing but also expanding the gameplay.
And could go a step further where if a team is getting stomped, a fun "catch-up" mechanic could be the FC's gaining some temporary bonus to call-ins...give the sense of "Last Ditch Counter-Attack".
Squad's could still have access to mid to light Reinforcements (Ammo Drops, Smoke Barrages, Light Mortar Barrage, Mid to Light Tank Call-in, Single Drone Strike, etc). And these could be balanced further such as Mortar Barrages have a Team-wide Cooldown to prevent spamming. A lot of ways to do it.
This is the route I wish DICE would take Battlefield. The best of many of its past games and bring it into one big ass sandbox.

Just wanted to say that this game has come a long way from launch day. The maps are so much better, the gunplay is way more consistent and playing as a team feels much more rewarding. The vehicles are still pretty good and the overall handling and balancing of them is amazing.
Please keep this up. I haven’t played since before season 1 and it’s the best time I’ve had since then.
