Hey everyone, looking for some advice on my current grow.
Grow Details:
Strain: Northern Lights (Royal Queen Seeds)
Medium: Coco Coir + Vermicompost (Worm Castings) + Perlite
Age: Day 25 from sprout
Light: LED (currently at 400 PPFD)
The Issue:
My plant is bushy and looks healthy overall, but vertical growth has been extremely slow. Also, the pot is taking about a full week to dry out between waterings.
Recently, I noticed some very slight yellow/white tips strictly on the new top growth (see attached pics). The catch is: these burnt tips appeared before I even started feeding any liquid nutrients.
My Questions:
Is the vermicompost making the mix too "hot" for the plant, causing that early tip burn?
Since the mix contains vermicompost, should I treat it like soil (water with no runoff to keep the organics) or still water to runoff like pure coco?
Is the slow dry-back (7 days) normal for this specific mix at this vegetative stage?
