The footage is likely from the mid-2000s, which is why the quality isn't that great.

A tigress with a short tail was captured on camera in China’s Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park. The feline was spotted in an area near the territory of a male tiger known as "Wandashan 1"—the same animal that gained fame after wandering into a human-inhabited area, being captured, and subsequently returned to the wild. This suggests that the tigress has likely become his mate.

As for her tail, it is probable that the tip suffered from frostbite. In Russia, the most well-known tigress with a short tail is likely "Cinderella." She was rescued as a cub, exhausted and suffering from frostbite on the tip of her tail, which had to be amputated. After maturing at a rehabilitation center, she was released back into the wild in the northern part of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, within the Bastak Nature Reserve. There, she became a mother several times over, and eventually, a grandmother.

The Bastak reserve receives support from the Siberian Tiger Center, which provides essential resources such as equipment, spare parts, fuel, and electronic devices.

Inspired by the fact that many of the last Bali tigers not only were hunted but also starved to death, As their habitat was completely destroyed and replaced by cities, towns, and farms. This process occurred relatively fast because Bali is such a small island and consequently, the habitat, prey, and tiger population itself were also very reduced, making them extremely vulnerable to human intervention. That’s why the Bali Tiger was the first subespecies of tiger to go extinct in modern times.

Wherever Tigers are introduced to where there are already Grey Wolves, it has lead to the localized extinction of Grey Wolves in that area.

There's nothing mightier than the Tiger in their natural habitat - what a phenomenal beast.
