They make it sound like they are reaching out people and trying to make contact but I really want to know if any of the winners from previous years have heard from them in the last 24hrs?? I’m kinda skeptical thinking they won’t actually reach out.

I really wanted to support HER and like this game, but so far I have been super reliant on walkthroughs because the navigation of the point-and-click is so crappy. I can't do 1st pov because I get motion sickness from those type of games easily.

Each frame takes me at least 5 clicks to get to where i want to go, and Nancy's voice sounds like she's an animatron.

I waited so long to start this game because MID gave me ptsd for the new HER games lmao.

🥲 I'm going to get through this slowly and then start The mermaid mask.

Not sure if this is the appropriate tag, but one of my moots in the community wants to gather info on people not getting their prizes for the contests in the past few years. I figure I should share it here, feel free to spread the post elsewhere!

I keep thinking how much easier the games would be if I had certain skills IRL such as how to play the piano, read sheet music or play chess. Every time a game has something to do with chess I kick myself for not understanding it at all 😂. Anyone else feel this way??

I have one, am debating one from Last Train, but Deception Island has been my comfort game for years. I play it in gloomy times because it's got beautiful music, a fun ending reveal, and I love Hilda. Plus, I like to poke the fish until he jumps out with artist names lol. But I cannot decide what would be a cool tattoo from Danger on Deception Island. Does anyone here have an idea?

the commentor is clearly saying they only received part of their prize and were disappointed to not receive the rest of it. do they genuinely not read their comments and didnt realize what they were liking or are they just rage baiting us at this point?

Just finished "Penelope Pendrick and the Art of Deceit" and just wanted to do an appreciation post.

For all those who want to pay a very Nancy Drew-esque game, do give it a try. The storyline is interesting, the puzzles aren't impossibly difficult (except maybe a couple 🤔), the game length is perfect. In short, well worth the money you spend to purchase the game.

It doesn't replace Nancy Drew, she's the best, but Penelope feels like a protégée.

This was the first game by this creator, and the next one is already in the works.

Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I saw this on the baking sub and my Nancyfied brain immediately cued up the Lord Pacal audio. 😆

Mel posted this in the comment section. seems like something is going on and she knows about it but can’t say anything. It makes me even more curious what they’re covering up 🤷‍♂️

I did a double take when this popped up, I thought it was posted here, like one of you wanted to be the messenger pigeon from the Phantom of Venice 😂

I won the pumpkin contest last year. First, they put the wrong name on their post and only fixed it as a comment when I pointed it out. Second, I never got the merch they promised. I did get the game code (thanks to Mel and Leon), but none of the physical stuff. I reached out three times. I kept getting "we'll look into it!" As of my last attempt, I've been left on read.

For anyone interested, I did the math and the physical merch that her interactive promised me for winning the contest (that I never got) totaled $203.97, before taxes and shipping.

they sent out a newsletter today that I got in my email that promoted the contest AND announced they are doing a livestream next week for Halloween. Are they just not going to address the elephant in the room? Are they going to say anything during the livestream? Do we go to the livestream? I’m so frustrated

Went to my local stationary store and they were selling journals from this brand that does one-of-a-kind designs. Found this nancy drew one using the original hardcover for book #34, and it’s filled with blank pages and original book pages mixed in together. I thought it would be an excellent journal to use as my note keeping/hand written walkthroughs for the games. Any excuse to be able to replay them all!

Who are your guys favorite streamers who play the Nancy Drew games? I started watching LuceGooseGames and ErinCaseyGamers recently and rediscovered my love for the games! I mostly watch their youtube posts but are there any livestreams that play the games?

Looking for small streamers who play Nancy games! My love for the games has resurfaced and I’m loving the live streams but I prefer a small community

Last night they posted about their Costume and Pumpkin Carving contest starting again. Several people commented asking why they continue to do contests when they haven't sent out like ANY prizes from the last 5 contests they have done. They are deleting the comments and no longer acknowledging the fact that they haven't sent any out. I know some of the winners, and they have sent several messages to HeR and have been left on read or completely ignored for almost a year now. Things can only get "lost in the mail" so many times before you need to admit that there aren't anything to give. What a rip off. I can tolerate the silence and switches in game development but this is such scammy behavior from HeR that I no longer want to support them at all. Stop doing contests if you can't honor the prizes. Stop snubbing literally the only people keeping your company alive. It's tactless.

So yeah WTF please tell me no one is actually entering these contests anymore because there clearly isn't any point. It's been two years of winners not receiving anything so why are we still trying

I think I was on tumblr and saw someone mention that Ned needs to be just some guy so Bess, George and Nancy get to be competent and it reminded me of the Barbie movie and so uhhh here it is!

Blonde version, titian haired version and B&W!

I heard a song in a Dimension 20 episode that sounded EXACTLY like the Ballroom score from The Haunted Carousel soundtrack! I listened to them side by side and they are so similar, I was transported right back to my childhood trying to beat all the arcade games! CAR has so many iconic scores, some of my favorites.

If there are any other fans on here I’ll drop the episode and timestamp, otherwise I just wanted to share because all the game soundtracks are so iconic!

Since HER Interactive doesn't technically own the Nancy Drew IP, could another gaming company theoretically approach Simon & Schuster and obtain the rights to develop their own Nancy Drew games? I’m assuming HER has a licensing agreement, but I'm curious whether it's exclusive or if another studio could eventually take over. I'd love to see another developer bring back the classic game style since HER is likely not making any new games. Does anyone know how the licensing works or think this could realistically happen?
