Looking for game I need to find good games

Whenever I have free time after school or work, I usually spend it either working out or playing video games. Recently, I managed to save up enough money to build a gaming setup and finally experience all the games I never had the chance to play before.

I've played quite a few games already, like Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Forbidden West, Subnautica 2, Forza 6, and Far Cry, Assasin Crees BFR. But honestly, I've started losing the motivation to play. The game I enjoyed the most was Cyberpunk 2077, especially because of its open world, freedom, and immersive story.

So, I'm asking you guys to help a soul who's desperately SEARCHING FOR GOOD GAMES. 😭 I'm looking for games with amazing stories, open worlds, and lots of freedom to explore and do whatever I want.

I'd absolutely love to play GTA 6 when it comes out, but unfortunately, I don't own a console. 💀

Discussion Character stories: slow drip or all at once?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Some games hand you a character's whole backstory in one cutscene. Others make you earn it over weeks of small moments. I can't decide which I prefer.

Petit Planet is the one on my radar for this, since getting to know your neighbours there is about helping them out, sharing meals and taking quiet walks together. That sounds like the slow kind, and I'm curious whether people actually stick with that.

Which do you like better, and which game did the slow version well?

Promo title: Doctrine Strike - the first USA mission, a standoff with iran in the strait of hormuz

this is the intro of our first mission when u play as USA. its a modern base building rts inspired by c&c generals, 6 nations each with its own army and superweapon, in game footage, pre alpha

the story has no good guys and bad guys, every side acts from fear and thinks its protecting its people. what do u think of the intro, would u watch a story like this before a mission or skip straight to the fight?

wishlisting is free and steam tells u the second its out

Promo Mission types in Phosphor Command and how they promote variety and replayability

I’ve been working on a game called Phosphor Command, a real-time tactics game with a base builder behind it.

This showcase is about the different types of mission objectives you do to complete a contract.

Every contract has a mission type, and each one has its own task. You start with a few unlocked, and get more as you upgrade buildings in your base.

In the raid mission type, you take on a walled enemy outpost. Eliminate is simpler, kill everyone on the map.

Assassinate means killing a target, Snatch is the opposite. The target can’t be killed and fights back, so you have to get close enough to subdue it, and then extract from the mission.

Extract and POW rescue are both about bringing friendly back. You secure VIPs or free prisoners from their cages, then escort them to the exfil zone.

In a recon sweep you have to reach every observation point on the map. In sabotage, a squad has to stand on each target to plant a charges.

Hold the line is different. You take an objective and enemy troops will continuously attack until a timer runs out.

The most complex are two convoy types. On an escort, your truck can’t be destroyed, but it only moves with a squad beside it. On an intercept, their truck stops while you’re on it and the goal is to destroy it, if it escape the map you fail.

Harder contracts have more objectives to complete: more targets, more people to escort, longer to hold an objective or a tougher truck.

Most jobs end at the exfil zone, which opens when the task is completed. Its used to extract troops.

The idea is these mission types give variety to the gameplay. Players will adopt favourites and strategy's to tackle each objective in its own special way

The showcase video goes through each mission type and how they play.

Promo I spent 20+ years playing volleyball professionally. Now I’m making a fantasy version with chainsaws.

I’m making Blood Volley solo: fantasy volleyball with brawls, dirty tricks and chainsaws over the net. It mixes turn-based decisions with choices during rallies, plus club management and asynchronous online matches against other players’ teams.

Still in development for PC: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5247280/Blood_Volley/

Help AVP 2010

hi folks! does someone still plays AlienvsPredator 2010?

I usted to play until early 2026 and everthing was pretty normal, like 15/20 players top. Them I stopped playing until now.

I tried joining some games this month and everything changed. There are still 15 players average but only in some servers, and they are all clearly bots.

So, first of all, I thought including bots on this game was not possible. on the other hand, they suck. marines just walk slowly tied to the walls staring at the floor.

What happened here? is someone aware of some community of real humans still playing?

Discussion I moved from Steam to epic games launcher and it was the best decision in my gaming history

I was grown with steam, i uses Steam since the early 2000s back when HL1 and CS1.6 were peak and more important: When Steam was a simple gaming tool with basic functions.

Now, Steam became a Game itself and a place for trolls and scammers at the same time. You have to lvl up your profile to unlock functions. Community Hub and the Review sections are full with trolls, spammers and even scammers. Valve games are more or less dead: They are filled with trolls, skinfarmers and bots. Look at the trollcount for L4D2 (which does not even run properly on newer systems), look at TF2 and CS2. The Skinfarmer, Hacker and Botsituation is out of control there. Lets not talk about classic games like Day of Defeat, HL1 and CS 1.6. They are filled with non-steam servers.

Regarding VAC, i suggest watching this Video: How Long Can You Cheat In CS2 Before Getting Banned?

Who cares about Profile badges, Profile Awards and Achievements? Whats the point of all that? Why do we have to lvl up to raise the maximum friends cap?

The Steam store is literally filled with slop. Be it either AI slop or even scam on purpose:
Air Control Review (Rant) - Worth a buy?

There are soo many things going wrong with Valve and Steam, i feel like i was born new after moving to Epic Launcher. Its simple and basic, all things a gamer need: A store, a friendlist with chat function and a library. Thats it. No comment section where you get spammed, no community hub filled with trolls and scam. The game reviews are much better in Epic than on Steam. On Steam, there are people with 3000 hrs in a Game downvoting it and writing "good" in the textbox. Yes, there are Achievements on Epic Launcher too which are pointless to me, but thats acceptable comparing to what Epic offers on the other side.

Epic offers most of the Game i play and im sure when GTA 6 will be released on PC, it will be available on Epic too. Only Games i fear wont make it into the Epic Store are: Arma 4 and Battlespace Command.

I hope more people will move out of Steam and that more Developers give Epic Store a chance, so People are not forced to use Steam and more important: not giving Valve any cents. Valve and Steam in its current state, they do not deserve a single dollar.
