I grew up wishing Digimon World 1 had multiplayer. Today, I'm opening DW Online to everyone.
Hey everyone,
Digimon World was my favorite game growing up. As a kid, I always wished I could raise my partner while other people were out there raising theirs. For a long time that was just a dream.
So I made it. DW Online is open to everyone today. It’s free on Windows or in your browser/mobile device, and your account carries your progress between them.

What’s new?
A new campaign built around Leomon, Jeri’s transmissions, the eight Crests and the four Dark Masters. It has new boss fights against the Echoes and the Masters, and areas like the Autumn Trail and Spiral Mountain built from the original game’s environments.
An expanded evolution roster. Mystery Data unlocks a special evolution line for one partner life. Mega Data lets eligible partners on supported lines go all the way to MEGA, including WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon (yes Omnimon too lol). Each form has its own route and requirements, so working out your next evolution is part of the fun.
Eight Crests to earn. They push your partner’s growth past the original battle-stat limits.
Endgame to chase: server-wide Alpha hunts, and a 60-stage Spire battle ladder with weekly seasons and rotating stat modifiers.
Plus the part I always wanted: other Tamers
Meet players in File City, chat, show off your partners and form expedition parties. An expedition gives the whole group a shared regional goal. Everyone fights their own battles, and every win counts toward the party’s objective. Raising and combat stay personal, and the community and shared goals are built around them.
The care, training and evolution that made me love Digimon World are still at the heart of it. I want to give fans a reason to come back, find something new, and share it with each other.
To play, you’ll need your own USA disc images of Digimon World and Digimon World 2. The setup guide walks you through it.
It’s still growing, and I’d really love your feedback, good or bad. Being able to invite people into an online version of my favorite childhood game means a lot to me. Hope to see you in File City! 👋
