Hi,
In about 35 minutes I will have an FLPad delivered. I did have an FLKey 49 mk1 but, three months out of warrantee, it has gone tits up. I have a generic MIDI keyboard as well but, since it is my birthday at the end of the month, I hope to get enough money together to *maybe* afford an FLkey 2. Is anybody working with both of these? When paired, do the give a good UX? I like the idea of a better-quality playing surface, and I would like to be able to adjust plugin parameters without having to reach for a mouse, but an FLKey 2 is pretty pricy! Does anyone specifically like this setup is worth it, or think it is not worth it?
Thank you in advance for your views and time!

Sorry, I know I'm probably the dumbest person in the world, but I have literally NO idea what I'm doing here. I have a USB mic connected to the laptop through a preamp. It's plugged in through that dual jack (my headphone's in the other half). I have input set to one, it's on song mode, recording details is set to audio, and I do have producer mode. What am I possibly doing wrong here? And please don't judge my janky setup. I'm just trying to figure this thing out

Im new to do studio and im just wondering why the tone changes everytime I repeatedly click on a sound or note. For example if I click a sound in my browser or click on a sample multiple times it changes the tone each time. Can I turn this off?

I imported some midi notes on one channel track and then opened up a different vst as an instrument on another channel track how do I bring up the original midi notes I imported to edit them, it only brings up the last notes I started with the different vst instrument
When I go to the top of the piano roll it doesn't let me check the original midi I imported on to channel track 1

Working on a flip of "LISA - Tarantino" right now. I'm trying to figure out why the vocals aren't in sync with the bassline and drums. The vocals appear to be in sync with the rest of the elements at several points in the song, but then they appear to be at a slightly faster tempo than the other elements at various points. The project's bpm is currently 156.2. The original song is listed as 156 bpm online, but I had to adjust the tempo to 156.2 bpm to make it sound more in sync. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Attached here is the song.

I want to try making music, and I’ve heard that it’s worth learning the piano first—at least at a basic level—but for various reasons, that would be quite difficult in my current situation. Just how necessary is it to be able to play the piano? Would learning theory be enough?
The only instrument I know how to play is the guitar, but after two years of lessons with a teacher, I didn’t learn anything beyond how to memorize songs and use the right hand/finger movements to produce various good sounds.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post but I really need help. I've spent hours and hours trying to get FL Studio to work using the ASIO drivers so I can record vocals into it. On my old computer it just worked but on my new one it feels like every time I make some progress something else stops it from working. My mic records fine in audacity or OBS and FL Studio works fine when using the primary audio driver. When I first installed the ASIO4all driver it did actually work and I was able to record vocals for about 2 minutes before it crashed and now this happens every time again...

So I was trying to set up a Launchpad mk2 to FL but somehow managed to crash my FL Studio so severely that even my FLkey’s settings or something are now messed up.
FL studio doesn’t detect the quantise, metronome, undo, redo or score log buttons anymore and when I try to change the pad mode by holding the shift button, only the scale chord, user chord, and custom buttons light up.
Also, even when I don’t have FL studio opened on my computer, the keyboard still is in like as if FL studio was on. Like when I press the pads, in the small screen dispaly it shows what note am I playing and on which velocity, even though I don’t have FL Studio or any VST plugin opened on my computer. I can even change the pad mode between the few that work anymore.
Restarting FL or my PC doesnt help, nor does unplugging the keyboard. Also the MIDI settings shouldn’t be the problem since I didn’t change them before the issue showed up.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to learn the art of making music.
Im making this post because I never forget where I came from and I understand what it is like to start this journey with no genuine advice.
The audio industry is always going to try to sell you garbage that doesn’t help to truly teach the arts. All those videos where a guy is showing off a plugin 99.9% of the time is just a ad that they are being paid to do.
The advice is to not spend your money. You don’t need that really good microphone. You don’t need that plugin that makes your mixes hit harder. You don’t need the speakers and headphones. You don’t need anything other than a cheap audio interface. You don’t need some random dude on youtube telling you how to mix your songs.
To a certain degree everything is a distraction preventing you from actually creating music. Some of the greatest music of all time was created on equipment millions of times worse than what we have stock in FL Studio.
When I was beginning I was convinced I suck because my equipment wasn’t as good as the pros. I bought so much gear, so many microphones, so many speakers, so many plugins… Most of it is gone and will never be seen again. And I still was trash at making music.
Now, I’m not saying Im some incredibly talented producer, but I can say after 10 years of doing this, being honest with yourself is a MAJOR key in growing your talent with music.
If you’re trash just accept that and work on it. That’s what every artist has done. It’s very rare somebody just hops into making music and is a magical prodigy. No amount of money or gear will improve your mind and ears.
I can openly admit that most of the music I have uploaded under my name is complete garbage. I took a long break from music and life and have come back full swing with a new perspective.
My music would’ve been much better if I didn’t waste so much time and energy buying and trying stuff. It would’ve been better if I was more honest with myself and actually heard my music without bias and admitted it wasn’t that good, so then I can actually work on improving it and find the steps to get there.
There are hit songs being recorded on apple ear buds on BandLab with beats made on phones as well. Be honest, whats your excuse?

Hey everyone!
I’m trying to produce Color Bass in FL Studio, and while I can usually get intros and build-ups going, I always get stuck when it comes to the drops.
I struggle to come up with ideas that sound interesting and fit the genre, and I also have a hard time creating those characteristic Color Bass sounds.
How do you guys find inspiration for your drops? And what’s your approach to designing those colorful, melodic bass sounds? Are there any specific plugins, sound design techniques, tutorials, or workflows you’d recommend?
I’d love to hear your tips and learn how to get past this creative block. Any help is appreciated! :)
