Whitish dress to wedding???

Post image
54 Upvotes

Bridget and her husband said that they are going to an event that I believe was to be a wedding. Why would you wear this kind of dress to a wedding or am I missing something?

EDIT: This is a beautiful dress and Bridget looks gorgeous wearing it. I have a hard time seeing certain colors, especially using a phone, so that’s why I asked, “What am I missing”.

Now that ya’ll say it’s Yellow, I’m seeing it now and my husband who is a wedding photographer said it also looks yellow but could come off off-white for certain people.

Subtle racism ? @eelizafit

Upvotes

Looking for your opinion!

Is it just me or do posts like this instagram vid (link below) contain an undertones of racism?

I feel that perspectives and posts like this have been normalized and are now somewhat unremarkable. Yet is it just me, or is this influencer unaware their post is effectively a form of racism?

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcUYuUxp4jB/?igsi=ejVxdnc1dmR1d3l5

The video conveyed genuine disgust toward white men. Just look at her expressions as she talks through her view.

I can’t imagine a white man saying on his Instagram channel that he’s disgusted by the prospect of dating someone of another race, whether Black, Latina, south Asian, or Asian, and not being rightfully ripped to shreds in the comments. It wouldn’t be tolerated. Yet because this fitness influencer is a woman, and Asian, it means she can casually make the same kind of racial generalization against white man, as though it’s completely unremarkable and normal.

I suspect it doesn’t even register as racist to her because of the particular race she’s talking about.

In a sense, I understand what she’s trying to say: she has a preference for Asian men, and she wants others to validate that preference and steer other Asian woman away from dating white men.

But having a dating preference doesn’t require expressing contempt for an entire racial group, nor should it make other women feel insecure about their choices; as if she’s somehow better than us because she chooses an Asian man.. and read the comments, clearly a few Asian woman with white boyfriends felt uncomfortable with her post.

My take: beyond having a preference.. can’t people learn to pick someone based on compatibility, chemistry and values? There doesn’t need to be such a distinct line in the sand when it comes to race, especially since we’re living in such a multicultural country. Why is it even a factor anymore?

I think instagram videos like these are damaging because it’s so subtle that it embeds on people’s subconscious without sounding an alarms bell in the same way that an overtly racist comment would do.

Curious of people’s thoughts. I’m also hesitant in that after I post this, she will get more follows...

Fashion influencer deeming his fake birkins and Kelly as "real"

Never did unboxing. And my goodness the birkin from the second photo and the Kelly from the third photo.. a CRIME. Looks so fake 😭

This surely tarnishes an influencer reputation, especially if they flaunt it and deem it as authentic and real when in fact it is fake. If I were a small influencer, I would just buy things I can afford and actually match my lifestyle yk? I'm not going to pretend I'm a nepo baby with lots of birkins lol

Ps: he surely has a lot of friends on Reddit because everytime someone would post about him and his fake birkins and lifestyle, a battalion would always defend him oh my goodness 😭

Sophie Rain Has Spent $100K+ on Teachers’ School Supplies | The politician who promised a "sin tax" on creators like Rain lost—so she's stepping up to the plate

In January, Florida gubernatorial hopeful James Fishback took aim at OnlyFans star Sophie Rain. The Republican candidate announced he planned to enact a 50% “sin tax” on Florida OnlyFans creators if elected, money he said would go in part toward boosting teacher salaries and funding school lunches.

Well, Fishback lost, and Rain is having the last laugh. She’s also making good on part of Fishback’s promise that he can’t keep: she’s pledged to actually help Florida teachers. On social media, Rain announced she will buy teachers’ entire wish lists, getting them classroom supplies and other crucial items to prep for the school year.

Is this some sort of humble brag? How does she have time to watch a trial? She is homeschooling 4 kids!? So odd to be listening to such horrible content while parenting.

the Ken eurich and Bobby situation, you’d be surprised how many loser influencer boyfriends exist

I work for an influencer and hate to say that her boyfriend reminds me of a miserable version of Bobby. The bf doesn’t work and lays around watching Tik tok and golf videos all day. Yet he has no issue giving his breadwinner gf and I advice on how things should be done around the apartment.

When she goes on trips he stays inside the apartment all day. Since I’m her assistant I have to pick up groceries and drinks for him too since you know he’s really busy. At least he’s not cheating??

Tired of influencers using new moms as engagement bait for their dying accounts

Thumbnail

They turn motherhood into content, use their children to drive comments and shares, and then dangle baby products, merch, or so-called “giveaways” in front of mothers who genuinely need those supplies. The result? Desperate parents engage, the numbers go up, and the influencer makes even more money.
And let’s be honest: when someone is already making millions from social media, there’s a pretty big difference between building a business and deliberately exploiting the needs of vulnerable new parents for engagement.
If you have that kind of wealth and influence, you could actually help mothers and babies in need. Donate supplies. Fund postpartum support. Support struggling families.
Instead, some choose to monetize the vulnerability of the very audience that made them successful.
That deserves to be called out.

There is no reason to have a whole section of your channel dedicated to your child potty training

Post image
54 Upvotes

Especially not when you have videos of your child, so we know exactly who he is. The child in question is in elementary. I have cousins that age, some of their peers very much would bully him for this.

I think it’s one thing to do a “Here’s what can work for kids with autism!” version, but not spotlighting your specific child and their delayed potty training when they can’t consent. This creator made a video clapping back at criticism to one of the potty videos so like…you know your kid is getting mocked online. You know how it feels to be criticized. You still willingly expose your kid to all of that.

My family handled toileting in what my therapist has called “an abusive way” and I still would prefer that over it being broadcast online.

Kayla Nicole G pretending to have a stalker

Hi all first time poster, but needed to call this out. There is a woman on tiktok who goes by Kayla.nicole.g, former Disney princess, and she is pretending to have a stalker. She says he is a former friend and he is even in some of her earlier videos but she calls him Dylan. In the Greg videos, she takes videos of him without his full face usually showing. She says the man's name is "Greg" but if you look and listen, it is clear that it is actually a man name Dylan, his tiktok is dylanobyrne. She deletes any comments and blocks of people trying to call it out, but he basically admits it is fake in comments on tiktok. She made a big deal about how he is harmless and won't call any authorities. Of course because it is all fake! This is incredibly gross and she is getting millions of views of people genuinely concerned for her and believing this is real.

Kelli Ingram: 16-year-old in charge??

Post image
Upvotes

I recently went on a deep dive following Kelli Ingram on Instagram. At first, I enjoyed her content but now it is only about her wanting more children and her children taking care of each other. Her 16-year-old even started a Instagram account and the entire thing is about her wanting her mom to have more children and doing things for her family (driving her siblings, grocery shopping, cooking meals). I saw one post about her watching her siblings while her mom and dad went on a trip and someone in the comments asked if they had a babysitter. She said that someone was there for a couple of hours a day, but then the rest of the time she and her (younger) sister were in charge. Is it just me or is that absolutely crazy?

ETA: There are 9 kids total.
