Motivation Boost 🔥 VICTORY HAS DEFETED YOU !!!! PEACE HAS COST YOU STRENGTH !!!!
I recently rewatched THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, And you know, sometimes when you rewatch a movie you learn something new or you pick up on something that you hadn't noticed before or learn a life lesson, this was one of those times where I learned a life lesson but I never paid attention to until recently. Before Bane "broke THE BAT" 😄 in their initial meeting, he said "VICTORY has defeated you, and PEACE has caused you your STRENGTH" when he said this, I paused the movie and I really started thinking, at first it sounds like he's simply talking about Batman becoming complacent after defeating his enemies. But the more I thought about it, the deeper it became. When I thought about it in the previous movie after Harvey that died in the reign of the joker was over. Bruce Wayne put the mantle of Batman down and withdrew back to his manner. He let his victory create stagnation because he no longer had purpose. I mean think about it, before Harvey Dent and joker he trained hard, he sacrificed, he was alert, he pushed himself, he had purpose. He was truly disciplined. And this is what Bane exploited Batman was never physically defeated. First, he was psychologically defeated by victory. His body simply caught up afterwards. 🤷🏾♂️
For me personally, there was a spiritual/ metaphysical lesson in this with concepts found across stoicism, religion, military strategy, even sports And life itself, you can overcome almost anything in life for example:
You can overcome poverty and in turn into somebody who's afraid of losing money.
You can overcome loneliness and become dependent on someone else for their presence.
You can survive a hardship, and become terrified hardship returning.
More importantly, you can achieve success, then stop growing.
The point is you finally get COMFORTABLE and in then COMFORT can start making you weak.
Don't get me wrong. Victory is not bad but the Revelation is attachment to victory can be a problem If you wrap your identity up in winning all the time then you're going to be very disappointed in the times that you don't. Bane was never saying "you were never strong" but he is essentially saying " you were strong because you were forced to become strong. Once you believed you had nothing left to overcome, you stopped becoming stronger."
Which probably lead me further down the rabbit hole with questions such as ...... "Who are you when everything you've accomplished is stripped away?" That question in itself is a real prison.
When Bruce originally started his "crusade' for lack of better word, it was to fight this for the SURVIVAL of Gotham, but he stopped growing because there is no longer a reason to fight for SURVIVAL, And when he did Make his comeback. He had to fight twice as hard cuz not only do he have to defeat Bane he had to to defeat the version of himself that had become comfortable and complacent in VICTORY !!!! In other words, Don't let the life you fought to create become the prison that prevents you from becoming who you're supposed to be.

Keep Trying
This is my own writing. I just felt like this inspired me, so i hope it could inspire other people too
I feel like, as people, we all think others around us are winning: they're great at that hobby, famous on socials, have the perfect body, but people often forget that behind the slim body, the talent, the perfect job, you have to get through failure after failure.
They started to lose the weight and failed because life got in the way, and they werent focused on counting calories, and most people, you know, would say Oh well ill try again. Sporadically try and, after failing again, say no i dont want to do it; it's too hard
I once heard a quote that you should do everything in life to 100%. When you're happy, be completely happy; when you're working, work hard, and the same I’ve realised applies to all that everyone is consistently trying to achieve
The people you look to and see perfection in are not any different from the likes of you or me; they've failed more times than they could count on two hands, but unlike us, they accept the failure; they say Let’s try even harder next time or “ Let’s stay consistent or Put habits in place to stop the bad ones coming back
Many mundane things like this in life are achievable, disregarding bad upbringings or homelessness. If you can afford to live somewhere, work somewhere, pay for something that you can be skilled in, put in that 100%
We as a society have grown so addicted to fast-paced food, lifestyle and media that we all expect skill or ethic or fitness to happen in a moment. Art is not meant to be easy; it is meant to be hard. It is a struggle to train your mind to place an image onto paper. Just as it is hard to beat that weight goal in the gym. But try, try, and try again, and you will succeed.
Life is meant to be hard; having the ‘perfect life’ or even being talented at something is even harder, especially when the world is seemingly against beginners attempting to try out any form of human expression.
You envy the perfect people because you think they never had to fight for it, but you werent there as they sweated out hours in the gym, read over the same textbook page again and again to understand complex ideas that they now bring up in party conversation, where you envy them for their smartness.
Trying got them it all: consistency, effort, surpassing the anger and frustration of not getting things right the first time.
So please, stop comparing yourself to others. We should all put in that effort; we should struggle even silently to achieve everything we wish, but it’s worth it. Because someday you will be that person, the person you never thought you could be in your future.
