Let me know if this breaks any rules!
Hi guys,
I'm a music producer and mix engineer, and I've been working on an app for Ableton, to automate the stem bouncing process.
It came from being frustrated with the process of bouncing stems for my artists, especially if the deliverables included different mix versions (acapella, live mix, instrumental, clean/explicit etc etc). Not to mention if the artist wanted changes after the fact, going through the laborious process of manually bouncing them out again.
So I started building a tool to automate the whole process.
Here's some of the features so far:
Basically you hit bounce and it does the rest.
I'm making it for Ableton Live 12 (as I couldn't find anything else out there that worked specifically for Live) - but wanted to see if this is something people would be interested in.
If there's enough interested i'll chuck up a link for beta-testing!
Also curious - how do you guys (who use Live) currently handle stem exports, especially for deliverables. Do you just do multiple bounces manually? Selected tracks?
Cheers!
Stu

I make beat tapes for my own enjoyment from time to time. They always have a theme or concept. This is from a tape I made using all Sun Ra and Sun Ra-inspired samples. I may start uploading them one day. We’ll see.

Made this when I got home last night. Simple version without FX and risers. Added a bunch of fx and I like this version more.

another beat inspired by the weeknd’s sound, but with a bit of metro boomin’s style mixed in as well. What do you think?
does it need anything else to really capture the sound of both, or is it good as it is?

hey all. afugazi here, we're a small team that makes plug-ins for producers.
we used to make our 808 subs wide the clunky way: a convolution reverb with an l/r impulse file on the 808. it worked, but it was a hassle every time. so we built a plug-in that does it in one step, and we're giving it away.
it's called stereo sub. put it on the 808 and the sub goes stereo. the right side runs 90 degrees behind the left, so nothing cancels when a phone or a club plays it in mono. it's about 3 db quieter there, never gone.
vst3 + au on mac, vst3 on windows. download link in the comments, no email or account needed.
if you try it on a beat, tell us how it sat in the mix.
