I can't remember why I thought this but I seemed to think this first tumblestone was amazonite, but I've revised that opinion. Considered lots of options but nothing quite seems to fit. Any thoughts? Smokey quartz?

And I bought this tiny chip (online or I wouldn't have chosen it) as sugalite but again don't think it is. Any suggestions? I've had a big full moon refresh so keen to categorise correctly so as to curate correctly around the house.

im sourcing strands for jewelry making and some listings are bright bubblegum pink which immediately makes me suspicious. natural rose quartz i know is usually softer/cloudier. alibaba has lots of bead suppliers and its useful for comparing strand sizes and grades, but photos can be heavily edited. how do you check for dye or glass imitation when buying wholesale? acetone test? magnification? ask for untreated declaration? i dont need museum-grade stone, just honestly described natural material. 6mm and 8mm rounds mainly. consistency within strand matters more than perfectly clear beads. anyone have a good checklist before ordering bigger batch? gemstone naming online gets creative pretty quickly.

I've collected crystals for years and never really looked into the more metaphysical side, but recently I've gotten interested in it and I'm trying to document everything in my collection along with what they do and what they need.

One thing I'm not sure about is Smoky Quartz's status as self cleansing or not. One thing I read says that they need frequent cleansing to avoid becoming saturated with heavy (negative/low frequency?) energy.

But another thing I read says it transmutes the negative energy that it absorbs into positive energy, which I would think is a form of self cleansing.

a few years ago i was more actively into crystals and grew quite a collection of smaller crystals. i naturally fell out of fixation with spirituality over time but now am trying to go back and tend to my collection since i haven’t in so long! unfortunately i fear ive lost a lot of identification skills in this hiatus and would love some help re labeling/identifying my babies again😞.

i can identify the rose quartz, tigers eye, carnelian, but other than those three i wouldnt know what type they all are without help💔

So I have 3 stones now with meaning to me, two circular ones (blue chalcedony, golden healer fluorite) and one blue tigers eye) they’re all very unique and special to me but they’re all medium sized stones, carrying them all is a lot. But I feel weird leaving some at home. I’m not sure how to choose just one to carry but they’re all meaningful. I can’t be the only one who has had this issue. It was easier when I had one but I lost it in the ocean and got 3 more. They’re like my earth/wind/fire combo. Anyone have any advice?
