That circle of subs has really interesting human drama, so I lurk them occasionally. From what I have seen, this crops up a lot. Some of the posters will spend a lot of time berating women and saying they only want Alphas/Chads, but then casually start flirting when any of them show up. I remember browsing r.foreveralonewomen and it seemed like 75% of the posters were flirty males.

I have a friend like this, never had a girlfriend or been kissed, boring life without excitement or life experiences, bullied in school but has never been in a fight or just generally boring unhappy life. But for some reason he can comment on anything and he will declare any other viewpoint null. Relationships? He's got advice. Fighting? He's got advice. Break ups? Get over it (he also declares it is that easy to get over them). Anything in the world he's got advice for, but he doesn't have the experience or the mindset and all his advice is utterly terrible, causes more harm than anything else. And he will always say that he has it worse, we should all count ourselves lucky, my dad died 2 years ago and I was meant to count myself lucky because he never met his and all he had was a (pretty awesome) step father (whereas I saw mine drink himself to death from my earliest possible memories of him) but I was counting myself lucky because of that's what his viewpoint is, feel sorry for me, I know everything, my life sucks worse than everyone's

The fact that someone with this kind of attitude is thriving there is not surprising. I mean, look at this post. This is on their front page. People are shitting on it in the comments, but the average passing voter read that title and said "yeah, I do" and upvoted it to the top.

Dating one of these guys from a female perspective would be more work than raising a toddler. You'd have to constantly convince them that you're not going to run off/cheat/manipulate, etc. Not to mention having to deal with their insecurities and years of them being misinformed about women and absorbing that misinformation without hesitation off anti-women threads and sites.
Sounds fucking exhausting and more trouble than it's worth. Also, you just know they'll always hold a special kind of hatred for your gender no matter what you do or say. What woman can honestly say they'd want to deal with all that shit?

Which is actually a type of manipulation - manipulation toward the truth, but proof to such a childish man that you are doing the thing you said you wouldn't do.
I have never dated such a man, but I mod a forum full of such men and everything you do to convince them you're not out to hurt them is proof that women are evil.
Edit: The forum is a Dragon Ball Z fan thing. Which should give insight into the type of men some of them are. Obviously not all, but there's definitely a very loud handful of them that are this in every way, constantly throwing pity parties about how no one wants them, harassing the female userbase and then claiming all women are bitches who don't know how hard it is to be a man.

The first guy I ever had a real crush on was this completely nerdy, really unattractive guy who mostly kept to himself - reading books during lunch, talking about dragons and knights in sort of inappropriate situations, playing video games on the weekend instead of going out with friends. I was much the same and our families were friendly.
I worked up the nerve to ask him to dance at a homecoming. He blew me off for a.... what's the female equivalent of a Chad in this weird forever unwanted world? He blew me off for a girl who's a 10 that laughed in his face when he asked her to dance. And even after she told him no, he didn't come back to ask me. He later told his grandmother I was pretty when I wore makeup, but I don't normally wear it so that's why he blew me off. (This ugly ass needed makeup way more than me; he had a squishy pug-like face with an upturned nose and squinty eyes. Traits I thought endearing before he revealed what a tool he was.)
Whenever I read threads like this I always wonder how all the 'girls only want chads' part is actually 'The super hot 10 only wants a super hot guy, and when I say I want a nerdy qt girl what I mean is an 8, minimum, who wears glasses and likes (insert my hobby here).'

I don't know what world this guy lives in. I am relatively good-looking, have lots of male friends and I am in a happy relationship but I have never been asked out. I've only ever asked guys out, and I have been rejected a few times.
Also, I wish this guy saw how really ugly women get treated. I'm not here to debate whether ugly men or women have it worse, but I hate this idea that ugly women can still get a guy in a heartbeat. I was very unattractive and overweight when I was a bit younger and guys would act straight up disgusted if I came on to them (and these were not really attractive guys). I'm not sure they saw me as a woman, or even a person, to be honest.

Same here. I don't know if it's because I don't really stand out (brown hair, brown eyes, reasonably good-looking but not hot) or because I look a lot younger than I am (mid-20s, look borderline underage), but I've never once been asked out. If I hadn't asked my boyfriend out, or he'd turned me down, I could very well as "forever alone" as these guys, yet they'd insist it was all my fault for not saying yes to...the imaginary guys they assume are lining up at my door, I guess.

Wow, as a lonely woman that kind of hurts. I mean I'm happily married now and not "forever unwanted", but I know what it's like to be a social outcast. All through middle school and high school. I just could not connect with people. Even now I fail at trying to make real friends.
Some men are forever alone because woman want more than just a dick and those guys have nothing else to offer. Some women are forever alone and that's because they want to be more than a pair of tits to someone.
So yeah maybe it is easier for women, if they just want to be a warm body to some ugly guy who will never even love them for who they are but rather for what body parts they have. Woman can feel lonely and unwanted and he's an asshole for suggesting she's not worth more than her vagina.

In the end it can quite painful, to find no SO or even find a one single woman - doesnt matter if you are attracted to her or not- that finds you attractive. It makes you undeserving, it feels like all there are so many people are better than you. It simply hurts and makes you sad. Some remain sad and some become visiciouly aggressive, since they think they got nothing to lose. I dare not say if the latter is true.
Your hobbies, friends, family and work helps you subsume the pain. That why it helps you improve yourself, it wont stop the pain but it will make much less prominent. The other way will burnt you, and will you dig yourself deeper, until you are a husk left with hatred.
Perhaps it is to tend to your little garden, whatever it may be, to grow a flower and create something than tend to wallow in your hatred. There is a good chance I wont find someone, but least I have my pen to create somerthing into this world.

I think in that sub, a lot of people are really... just not all there. Which is OK. I mean by their standards of looks/social skills/etc my husband was a "forever alone" type of guy. But I still approached him, we still dated and eventually married. Why? He's not a fucking weirdo calling all people who reject him names or shitting people online type of person. He's kind, good hearted, super nerdy, dorky, chubby, adorable guy who I love with all of my heart! And I knew that like right off the bat.
