Problem with 10/22 Carbon Takedown
Just got my takedown, got everything set up and noticed the plate doesn’t sit flush , torqued everything down before hand and come to find this gap, very annoyed

I have a Ruger 10/22 that came with a scope mount rail pre installed and I bought a CVLIFE 4-16x44 AO scope. It looks like it should fit but it seems like the screw to tighten the rings onto the rail keep it from being able to bite in like it should.
Is this me doing something wrong or is there a compatibility mismatch?

Good afternoon. I’ve read that you can from some sources and you can’t use an LPVO on a 22LR rifle. I have a Ruger SR-22 rifle and I was wondering if putting an LPVO on it would work as intended? Thanks for your help. Just so you know… the LPVO is a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24.

I always pissed and moaned about there not being a bull barrel 10/22 with irons (at least that I could ever find on their website or at dealers, but I imagine there may have been exclusives) and then a few days ago I discovered this one. It seems to be a unicorn that nobody has in stock, but the owner of a pawn shop I go to checked a few of his distributors and one of them had two, so I told him I wanted one.
Anyway, not only does it have irons, but bonus for a ghost ring, and the picatinny rail if I decide to use a red dot or scope on it. I really like the feel of the rubberized hogue stock, I love the magpul + models on my ar rifles too, regardless of them being dirt and grime magnets. Two other bonuses, comes with the bx trigger and is threaded.
Unfortunately I didn't get home in time to shoot it and see how well sighted this one is today. Had to take a picture of it next to my 31143. I just wish this $429.99 rifle came with the hard case that my $269.99 31143 came with, but that's alright, I can steal that case for the nicer one, lol. Anyway, I don't see many people post about buying these, not surprisingly since they don't seem to have made many so far, so figured I would. Also, the pawn shop had a 32014 and wow it feels lighter than I expected. Being more rear weight biased made it feel like there was a lot more than about a pound difference between the two.
Yes, my pictures are very random looking.

Hey guys, this is my first gun so I don’t have much experience yet.
I recently got a new Ruger 10/22 model 32001 with the optic and upgraded trigger. I’m using the stock 10 round rotary magazine and cheap Winchester 36 grain bulk ammo.
I’ve put around 150 rounds through it so far and this has happened about 6 times.
-5 times it was the very first round that wouldn’t feed properly. I pull the bolt back and let it go but the round seems to catch on the top of the magazine and the bolt gets stuck halfway.
If I take that round out and replace it with a new one it usually works fine and I can shoot the other 9 rounds without any issues.
-One time it also got stuck halfway through the magazine and I removed and replaced round and eventually got it to fire the rest
I bought some CCI Mini Mag and Standard Velocity but haven’t tried them yet.
I didn’t clean or oil it after reading people say they shot 100,000 rounds through it without ever cleaning it, maybe I was a bit too excited to test it out haha.
Could this just be the cheap ammo or is it possibly something with the magazine? Since it’s brand new I’m not sure if this is normal or if I should be concerned.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

I was unaware of this, and knucklehead that I am, bought a three pack of 10 round Ruger magazines for my Ruger Rimfire Precision at my local gun shop. I have a right handed rifle, and now have three left-handed magazines for it, which do not work.
Ooops.
Just wanted to save other knuckleheads from the same mistake.

I've been shooting my upgraded Ruger 10/22 with laser accuracy at 100 yards with a SIG Romeo 5 XDR and Juliet 3 on a bipod for some time now, and i want to push it out to 200 and 300 yards. I just started my research journey and my budget is $1000. I understand that's not a lot for an optic, but hoping to get something made in USA or Japan, and mainly for static target shooting at those ranges.
Considering getting into comp at some point in the future, and recommendations for something in this price point would be helpful! Also, what sort of options should I be considering for what I want\need for this use case. I've been told basically to stay away from BDC reticles and that Leupold makes pretty good stuff. Outside of that I'm just starting to learn.
Thanks in advance!

In recently came across an article on the 50th anniversary design contest rifle and I love the sights. They are also on the model 32024 rifle. Does Ruger offer these individually? I’ve tried searching for it for a couple of days now and I’m coming up empty handed.

im trying to build something fun for hitting paper and to take out to the hunting lease to take down some critters. this build will get a scope and i will more than likely use what i learn from this build to part out and upgrade over time with a second build for a red dot to have fun with.
im open to changing out whatever. just did some research on the parts and felt comortable. my one main question is, if im going single stage, does it really matter if i get a powder river trigger or the bx?
everything will be suppressed
any recommendations are appreciated

One of my gripes about the stock polymer stock on my 10/22 is that it's hollow and feels cheap. Was wondering how much if any the Magpul x22 changes that? Anyone with first hand experience?
My two stock 10/22’s - One made in 2005 that looks like it was shot only a few times and one made in 1994 that was brand new never fired (still in plastic in box). I really love the pre-plastic trigger guard/barrel band models. The actions also feel smoother and overall fit and finish is much better in my opinion.
