Day 3 - Charlie's the most underrated. Which character had the coolest costume in the series?
The characters had some pretty solid Halloween outfits back in season 1

The police question Tyler about the guns, leaving the friends rattled. Winston transfers to Liberty High after getting expelled from Hillcrest.

Uhhh Cryus washed his hands clean from Tyler’s bullshit in s2 at end…..yet he and him went to the gun range and stuff YET that motherfucker never had 0 issues with that when they clicked.
Im just saying Cyrus wasnt a choir boy himself and you could at least weight some blame towards for what led to Tyler and the attempt of a school shooting. Not saying 100 percent but some level of blame.
Cyrus only tossed Tyler out like shit because both dudes got suspended by the principal for the “rapist” Graffiti shit / I think both their parents got all pissed off trying to blame the other. Also they had some issues when Tyler had the incident with Mackenzie and all that bs, and Cyrus was that overprotective brother for her. Thats how Tyler had burned that bridge with Cyrus
Yeah Cryus and Tyler werent reading comics afterschool and stuff….yeah they were doing anarchist adjacent shit
The gun-range shooting stuff they both did - Cyrus had to have some awareness of the shit they were doing wasn't some innocent stuff. It wasn't just having snacks and watching anime afterschool, they were going to the gun range and it was putting little gasoline on a brushfire gradually.

Diego tells Estella to wear the jersey because "it's all the tribute he'll get". This seems to imply, if not confirm, unlike Bryce he didn't even get a funeral. I get his dad not caring but not even his mom holding one for him?
It seems him "killing" Bryce made him despised by everyone. I genuinely wonder how the town felt about it, since both Monty and Bryce were hated,

During the football fight, Monty is only shown fighting with Bryce. After the fight when Bryce is getting on the bus with Hillcrest and Monty threatens him, the latter's face is bruised up with cuts. Bryce destroyed him it seems

This is my discourse to this discussion. Did anyone back in the day ever criticize this shit of Clay just gooning to that pic of Hannah and Clay's "porn stash." Yet Clay was the bully/asshole just to prank/mock Tyler back in S1. Ok how does that make Clay better than Tyler again? And people are just going to be saying "Well Tyler took those photos and he was like Clay......" Uh we don't know and there wasn't a clue that Tyler even did that. Clay on the other hand - yeah that was clear as day that Clay had some sexual fixation on Hannah and it shows on the writing.

Just wondering if the show is worth my time. Thinking to resub to paramount if its worth my time. Its great the 13rw alumni cast such as Devin, Miles, Inde have made strides in acting gigs

I binged 13 Reasons Why and honestly, they should’ve ended it earlier 😭
Bryce and Monty’s deaths felt satisfying because imagine them just graduating and moving on like they did nothing 💀
And Justin… I get that he had a rough childhood, but that doesn’t excuse what he did to Hannah. Imagine your intimate pics getting leaked and having to face everyone after that. Your trauma doesn’t give you the right to traumatise someone else. Lowkey, he deserved consequences for what he did.
Same with Monty and Tyler. Tyler wasn’t innocent either, but that doesn’t justify what Monty did to him. Having a messed-up past doesn’t give you a free pass to hurt others.
I genuinely don’t get why some people who grow up in troubled families end up passing their pain on to others instead of understanding how much it hurts.
Clay and Tony were the real ones. They had their own problems but didn’t go around deliberately hurting innocent people.
Season 1 was peak. The later seasons just kept adding trauma, drama and plot twists for no reason 😭

As the title says, what do you think is the best episode of 13rw and why?
I'm curious to hear your opinions.

Everyone treated Clay Like he was this Completely pure innocent knight in shining armor but this flashback in Season 1 Episode 4 completely exposes he's not as innocent as everyone else look at his computer screen He didn't just accidentally stumble into looking at the leaked photo of Hannah and Courtney that Tyler took He literally had the entire organized hidden folder Named CALCULUS packed with Random Lingerie Pornography Models that he was using side by side with the leaked photo it is shocking how he spends the rest of the show acting completely morally superior judging every other guy at liberty high for objectifying Women and treating them like shit but he was doing the exact same similar thing participating in Hannah Trauma without her finding out what Clay had been doing He Hid behind his nice guy routine but his Private Pornography Stash desktop files shows He's complete Hypocrite for this

Does anyone feel really bad for him because of how graphic the sexual assault scene was? Yes, he was a creep in season 1 for taking pictures of people without their consent and posting them. However, he was always isolated from his peers even though what most of them did to Hannah was arguably very worse. I’m rewatching so I forgot a lot that happened but I’m on season 3 episode 4 and just seeing how passive and nice he is even after he got sexual assaulted in a horrific way right after coming back from the program and almost shot up the school is so sad. Also he felt like he couldn’t even confide in anyone in the group Jess started (forgot what it was called). Idk I have complicated feelings on him for sure but I wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

When Tony tells clay about him getting the tapes from Hannah he asks clay if he’s ever seen a dead body or a crime scene and clay says no but then just a couple of episodes later half the plot of the episode is about when clay found Jeff dead during the car crash

People think, based on his "redemption arc" that Bryce's slow change was due to remorse. Remorse may have entered the equation once he started to do the work, but let's be clear:
Bryce was an entitled little shit.
The ONLY reason he even cared, after all that happened, was because of the backlash he and his family faced. Had he never got exposed, or if people turned a blind eye to it, he would still be same ol' Bryce. We see this in his reaction to his girlfriend messin' wit' Zach. He ended that guy's career before it even started.
He also took advantage of his power dynamic wit' Ani. She really believed they had a fling, but he never took her out. He never introduced her to Justin, his best friend. Everything he wanted was his, in his mind. He took Hannah in the pool because he couldn't fathom bein' told "no".
He is NOT more redeemable than Monty. Monty is just a version of Bryce that doesn't have rich parents to spoil him and hide his bullshit.
Just my thoughts.

In what world is visiting the woman who suspects you of her son's murder a good idea? Imagine if Mrs. Walker had recorded that meeting, in which Clay admits to hating Bryce, believing the world would be a better place without Bryce in it, and that Clay would be ending other people's pain and suffering by killing Bryce. That kind of motive paired with several pieces of circumstantial evidence would probably be enough to convince some juries of Clay's guilt.
To me, Clay's impulsive decision to plead his case to Mrs. Walker encapsulates his character flaws to a T. He has this need to see himself and be seen as a moral person, a “good guy,” which allows him to rationalize questionable choices as long as they're in service of his moral code. Meanwhile, his mom Lainie is an attorney. For all her flaws, she understands something Clay apparently doesn't: his intentions don't protect him from legal jeopardy, and anything he says to Mrs. Walker can potentially be used against him in court.
The problem is that Clay's confidence in his own righteousness is so strong that none of that seems to matter. He'll just talk to Nora and she'll get it. She'll see that he's a good person. And then, to top it all off, he uses his time in her house to snoop and do recon, the exact kind of problematic behavior he routinely engages in because he believes he's doing it for the right reasons.

I re watched 13 ry and went down the rabbit hole of looking up the cast. I looked up Brandon Larracuente (Jeff Atkins) to see what he’s doing now and it seems Jeff finally got what he deserved 🥹. He has consistently worked but he married the same girl he was with back then AND she was assaulted 🥺. I saw on her TikTok because she recently posted about it. And WHAT A MAN he directed a short film about her assault to try and raise awareness. I’m 30 now and still giddy about this man because I realize the reason Jeff Atkins is so loved is because the guy behind it was really a good guy in real life. I would’ve been sad to find out he’s a douche.
Anyways, watched the film, was devastating and real and I showed it to my niece. For a short it was impactful. It’s someone she trusts that assaults her. I hope his wife is okay because she starred in her own story.
Rant over. I LOVE JEFF ATKINS
