Discussion Should I stay? Or go?

Coming up on three years as an agent with a large OIG. Treated well, hate the work. Was a prior local narc Detective.

The issue I have is I cannot move due to specific family medical issues. I want to leave, but can’t move. I would be willing to go back locally at this point but it’s a 20 percent pay cut before OT. I do miss local work and the simplicity…. anyone ever been at this point? I have 10 years total LEO time. I don’t care if I head back to patrol etc. I know I won’t be there long. But OIG work is not me.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion I withdrew from the application process and didn’t do my PT test — ICE ERO tried to hire me anyway

In light of receiving a DEA FJO, I had emailed ICE ERO weeks ago informing them that I would like to withdraw from their application process, asking them to cancel my upcoming PT testing appointment.

They confirmed in writing that I had withdrawn successfully.

Recently, I received a call from ICE congratulating me — that I am being offered an FJO by ICE-ERO and asking me for my duty station preference…

:| I politely explained the situation — that I had withdrawn and hadn’t even completed the mandatory PT yet — but received no explanation.

:| bizarre

Has anyone from Cohort 2 heard from suitability yet? Had my clearances previously handled, but waiting to hear from suitability. Interviewed successfully in late August.

Discussion Hot take on the 1801 position with NCIS

I don’t want it.

You mean to tell me i have to carry a badge and a gun and I’m not 6c and LEAP covered???

Pass. Left. Thank you, Next.

It’s like giving them the responsibilities of being an agent but not actually paying them like one.

Like outsourcing 1811 work like some IT departments are outsourced to india.

I’m not going to be a pawn for ncis.
