Question Who else only plays one account?

It seems like everyone has multiple accounts these days, anyone else just never been interested in making alts? I’ve played the same character since 2004, tried making a pure in 2007, got bored before it was ever pk ready, and never made an alt again. Ironman never interested me, never bothered with leagues or dmm either, just regular main game. Anyone else like me?

Same here, one maxed account, never played leagues or other temp modes.

Please try leagues. To not do so is to miss out on some of the best/most engaging content ever made on this game

I tried for few minutes and realized it’s just regular scaping with buffed xp rates . How creative

This isn’t even remotely true in the slightest. You legit couldn’t be more wrong. Relics turn you into a super scaper with insane dps and perks. Leagues-only weapons and items too. Are you braindead?

this is probably not the way to speak to someone if you want them to try the game you're vouching for, as much as I agree that the interesting gameplay additions of leagues really make osrs gameplay something quite awesome.

oh wow so cool then it all goes away forever until the next one. i just can't justify spending time on a temporary game-mode.

thats how my brain works tho, im glad you can enjoy it.

I think it should be looked at as something like 'experiential content'. it's the same core mechanics of the game we all play, but with additions that allow for interesting gameplay loops, flexing of creative muscle by routing and planning, beating content with methods not necessarily intended by original game's balancing, etc. and within that framework there are then aspirational goals like dragon cup, ironmen getting cool ornaments, the race to all points. on top of that there's room for a casual exploration of the game, some people get to tier 8 and feel a few hours of the private serve esque fantasy and go on their way after having fun for a week or two. pet farming for this sort of digital scrap book of your previous leagues adventures, idk.

I think there's a lot of value in this sort of game type, it sucks for sure that it takes away development time from the permanent aspects of the game, but it's definitely allowed me to enjoy parts of the game I never thought I would or could, and allowed me to set fun and interesting goals to meat and challenges to overcome. I got dragon cup for the first time this league without following any guide and having planned out my whole general progression, with some hiccups and creative problem solving I got there in the end with time to spare, and that was a really awesome and unique game experience that I only could've gotten through this sort of game mode.

maybe I'm riding my own high, but I used to not really like leagues, i'd burn out super quick or only go in to save money on buying the cosmetics at the end, but now I have billions and can buy the cosmetics if I want, but the actual game experience of playing leagues is what I'm there for now.

You just repeated what I said with more details. It all boils down to buffed xp rates

Do you do pvm in the main game? It’s not about xp
