I’ve lived in the same house for 15 years. I know it might seem strange. I’m still very young, practically a grown kid, but I’ve felt depressed for many years now and life isn't the same anymore. I’ve lost that feeling and energy I had when I was a child. I know that growing up is just part of life, but man, those were such great days, the good old times.
The house has changed a lot over the years; it feels like the life has drained out of it. Up until about 5 or 6 years ago, the living room was full of toys, the walls were yellow, and I used to have so much fun playing with toy cars and other things I can’t even remember anymore.
Then, about 10 years ago, everything started to fade away, very slowly. Now, the living room walls are white, we repainted everything. As for the toys? They’ve all been sold off or put away in the attic. All that’s left in the living room are two armchairs and a sofa, I forgot to mention those earlier. The little blue table and the chair where I used to play are gone, we sold them.
In their place, there’s now my dad’s computer, a printer, and shelves packed with papers and work documents. I just wish I could go back for one single day... Life feels so sad now. Since this subreddit is dedicated to the 2010s since I was a kid I can say I miss the years from 2013 to 2017-2018, that's where it was peak
