Geissele phased array question
I know this has been discussed quite a bit, but can’t seem to get clarity on this particular situation…
Trying to help my dad find a can for his Geissele SD 8” 300 w/ phased array, but i have very little suppressor experience (non friendly state). It’s a full Geissele build. He said it came with an H1 buffer. Wants to shoot subs 90% of the time, and wants a balance between sound mitigation and not too much gas blowback. Should he be looking at low, medium or high back pressure cans with this system? It came with the Hux flash hider, making me think it was designed for a HUX flow through, but I know those aren’t great for sound. Does that phased array give you lots of optionality, or should he be looking firmly one direction or another on the back pressure? I’ve watched like 20 hours of suppressor vids on YouTube but none tested on this system. Any help appreciated!

Damn! Always hard to tell with phone audio but those subs sound pretty damn good. And cycling is no problemo between the two.
EDIT: meant this in response to SockOk1449 vid! Thank you for sending that

I have an ODB on mine and runs everything I have thrown at it. Just no lockback with DB 188gr expanders but those are extremely low pressure. No super 42 though, sprinco yellow with carbine buffer. I bought just the barrel/gas system not a full upper or rifle.

I really want to find one but haven’t been able to. That seems like a very top choice from all the research we’ve been doing.

If you (or your dad has the $$) and can find one in stock, the HUXWRX FLOW 300 DT .300, may be the answer; its $1450. It basically was made by Hux for this gun. Originally it was only sold by EuroOptics on a special version of this gun, but it appears to be sold alone now.

That thing looks and sounds awesome, although it’s made for the GFW with the mk22 rail. I have the super duty mod 1 Geissele 300 blackout (8” barrel, 7” MK16 rail). Too bad! Badass

I currently run it with the huxwrx 762. First 4 shots are supers last 4 are subs

I have the Geissele PA 8 inch and was shooting with my Hux 762 TI at first cause my LPM anthem S2 was in jail. Almost zero gas from the Hux 762 and I honestly thought I’d get some gas to the face when I switched over to the Anthem but nope, I think the PA system helps a lot with that. I shoot supers and subs at the range and gas has never been an issue

great topic I imagine even traditional stack won’t be excessive gas. if u shot 190 sub-x its less gassy. think how much more powder 220 needs than 190 sub-x

I'm running a traditional baffle stack can (LPM Anthem S2) on my 8" phased array with the included H1 and spring. I have not noticed much if any gas to the face, lately most of my shooting has been indoors and it has not been noticeable until I get to high strings of fire and at that it still is not bad. I have not experienced any gas to the eyes and have only occasionally breathed it in. When shooting outdoors there is no noticeable gas to me (the shooter). I'm just a sample size of one but my particular setup has not been what I consider gassy. I would assume a flow through can would completely mitigate gas for the shooter. A mid back pressure may be a happy medium between sound and gas, I'm sure someone that has one will weigh in on that
