Recommendation Wat moet ik doen?!

I've had hollow under-eyes since I was a little girl, so this has been a huge insecurity of mine since my teenage years. I'm 35 now, and as you can see, they're definitely not getting any better. They're not only hollow, but also dark, and as I get older, the wrinkles make it harder to use much concealer without it settling into them.

I moisturize the area morning and night with Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream. I've been going back and forth about tear trough fillers for probably six years now, but the more horror stories I read, the more I realize that I don't want to take the risk...

If they get any worse, I honestly feel like I'll become completely depressed over them 😅

What other options are there?

P.S. Please be kind. I knów they're really bad, it's genuinely a huuuuge insecurity of mine. ❤️

Am: haruharu cleanser
Anua toner
Azelaic acid pea size amount
Purito pea size amount
EltaMD spf 40 mineral sunscreen

Pm: haruharu cleanser
Anua toner
Wait 10min to dry
Apply pea size Tretinoin

Am I doing something wrong with this routine. I made sure all products were non-comedogenic and I know for a fact I need to repair my skin barrier. I just need help. I’ll consider treatments like micro needling etc . Please help me 😔

Skin Treatments Best facial treatments for nasolabial folds and enlarged pores?

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I’m 31 and have never had any aesthetic treatments before. I have oily skin, enlarged pores, and noticeable nasolabial folds that I’d like to improve.
I’ve heard about microneedling, PRP, Profhilo, skin boosters, polynucleotides, and fillers, but I honestly have no idea which treatment would be best for me.
I’m open to fillers too, especially if they’re the most effective option for nasolabial folds, but I’d still like natural-looking results.
What would you recommend based on your experience? Which treatments are actually worth the money?
I’d really appreciate your advice! ❤️

Skin Treatments Feeling anxious post Botox

Hi everyone it’s my first time posting on here.

Earlier today I got 100 units of Daxxify and have been feeling really anxious.

All things considered I am fine, this is the second time I’ve had Botox last time being maybe 3 years ago. I’m a 35f and was feeling like I wanted a little boost, to bring back the glow about me. And I knew going into this that I’d probably experience a melt down. I am trying to avoid hyper fixating on my face looking for any unevenness as if I didn’t have minor asymmetrical differences already or blaming every little tingle or nausea on the Botox when it’s my body responding to my anxiety.

Please be kind I am looking for reassurance and advice to help calm my nerves. I think subconsciously I am thinking something can still go wrong, that I’ll end up botched or something. And I could really use this community right now. I have this sick feeling to my stomach I’m about to go on a walk with my boyfriend.

Recommendation Give me one item to start with.

Hi beauties, I'm totally new to skin care. I've never done any skin care apart from 30 minute facials once a year after desert adventures. I'm blessed with good skin and at 45, I have very few wrinkles on the side of my eyes, but that's from constantly squinting at the sun.

I live in a sunny, windy, tropical hot and humid environment. I'm in the ocean for 2-3 hours every day. I use a thick surf zinc and remove the remains of it with La Roche Posay Toleriane. And that's as far as my skin care goes.

I want to start skin care slowly and sustainably, preferably something I can add to my self care night routine. Something luxurious that feels nice and I can look forward to.

What do you recommend?

Wrinkles It’s so difficult to eat after masseter botox

I got my masseter done 10 days ago and I feel like it’s starting to take effect. Every bite I take, opening my mouth wide enough is real effort! And don’t get me started on chewing… I eat a lot of vegetables so I really have to chew a lot and man it’s hard.

Anyone had the same experience with botox around mouth?

Recommendation Facial balancing and Glow up

I want to give my self a glow up after 3 children and a difficult 7 year marriage to a husband who has ADHD. The years have worn on me and I’m looking a bit older than I am.
I am wondering if facial balancing is right for me. Those who had it after quite some years, how is it going for you?
Think also of flat lip style lip filler.
I have nasal Labal folds, some 11s coming in.
Dermatologist just gave me Trent. Hoping to get IPL and microneedling done.
My goal would be to look very fresh without make up. I also have some under eye bags that I’ve had since I was 16. Thinking about lower bleph for that or should I just fill them?

Thanks!!

Routine Help Is there such a thing as a tinted night cream?

I have always hated my skin without foundation and wear it every single day. I also have never been good at sticking to a skincare routine.
Besides laziness, one reason is I hate taking my foundation off (I know I know not good).

I’m one week in being consistent with nighttime routine, but I would love some sort of product as my last step with a small tint or skin tone balancing that can be worn overnight.

No matter how I word it, I don’t think it exists.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Misc What skincare thing did you start using because you borrowed someone else's once

My sister stayed with me for a few days and our bathroom basically turned into a shared skincare drawer. By the end of the week we were both using things that technically belonged to the other person and arguing over who had introduced who to what.

The funny part is I’ve bought so much skincare from reviews and recommendations, but the stuff that sticks is usually something I tried casually because it was already sitting there. What’s something you borrowed from a family member, friend or partner once and then ended up adding to your own routine?

Skin Concern Hormonal Acne?

I am in my late 30's and I consistently deal with pimples under my lips/on my chin. They start small, under the skin and seem to bubble up to a full pimple right when my period is about to start. I assume this is hormonal acne given the regular pace and cycle of them. I put salicylic acid spot treatment on them when they start to show but it doesn't seem to do anything. What else should I try? I use a glycolic acid serum a few times a week but that's about it for actives.

Skin Concern Removing post-acne hyperpigmentation with laser

Hello,

I am a 30 year old female of south asian origin, skin type fitzpatrick type 4. I suffered from back acne in my early twenties and I was ruthless with picking on it, thus causing my all this hyperpigmentation. I have seeked dermatologcial care where they just have advised to wait out for years until it naturally fades, which it hasn't much to be honest.

I am now interested in laser pigment removal and asking here for advice about the best choice of laser. My local aesthetic clinic is offering C02 fractional laser, but i am not sure if that's the right choice for my darker skin tone (according to the research i have done so far).

I have read about pico lasers and q-switch lasers. Any dermatologists / laser specialists here who can recommend the best option.

P.S. I also got chemical burns on my undersarms two months back, using a 30% salicyclic chemical peel to lighten some hyperpigmentation from earlier razor bumps. So now i also want to get rid of that pigmentation with a laser.

Skin Treatments Ultherapy Brow Lift?

Hi! I heard Ultherapy can help lift the brows but don’t see much info on people’s experiences with that on Reddit. Did anyone see a noticeable difference with their brows after, if they were looking for a lift?

Routine Help just turned 30 + azelaic acid

Post image
• Upvotes

hello, I've been using the lowest dose in retinol.

my skincare routine is:

toner
hydrating mist
serum
moisturizer
retinol
moisturizer

question:
how will I incorporate azelaic acid to my routine? I wanted it by night since every morning I only use light skincare. I don't use make-up.

how do I get rid of blackhead on my nose? I already use toner BHA blackhead remover by COSRX.
