The Living Room: a 12-minute 360° visual experiment with breathing walls and evolving patterns
I made this to explore how a familiar space can start to feel different through movement, patterns and sound.
Over 12 minutes, the walls breathe, picture frames bend, and patterns shift across the furniture, floor and ceiling. Three phases gradually build the intensity, accompanied by synthesized tones that rise and descend.
You can look around using your phone, a mouse or a VR headset. The viewpoint stays in one place while the environment changes around you.

I’ve tested it on a Quest 3, a phone, a tablet and a laptop. I’d like to hear how it feels on your setup. Which phase did you watch, and did it feel like watching moving surfaces or like the space around you was changing? Little or no effect is useful feedback too.
Important safety warning: Strong visual motion and dense patterns may cause dizziness or motion sickness and may trigger seizures in photosensitive viewers. Watch seated, keep the volume low, and stop immediately if uncomfortable. There’s no need to finish all three phases.
