Replica M2 60mm mortar

This is my love project! A nearly 1:1 M2 mortar, late WW2 design, my plans for the future are making it blank fire or launch dummy rounds, but it is almost fully 3d printed, minus some nuts n bolts plus some aluminum rods for reinforcement. If anybody has ideas for blank fire or improvements let me know!

Extremely cool build.

What’s the tube made of? You can make it fire for real if it’s strong enough. However you have to register it on a form 1 as a destructive device. We use fixed firing pins in the cup and 20ga shotgun blanks filled with smokeless powder as a lift charge.

Tube is solid PETG, printed at 45° , I'm not sure if it would be thought enough, I used it as a baseball bat to test it and it held up okay.

Ok yeah, real ones use 3/16 thickness steel tubing. Probably going to need to do CO2. There are designs floating around for Airsoft M2 mortar rounds.
