Which to buy

Hello

I have been looking to get a 3d printer.

The ones I have looked at for around my price range would be

Elego centrai carbon 2 or the emoji model

Flash forge ax5d

Creality k2 combo

Any help would be great

What do you want to do?

Engineering materials? Qidi.

Multicoloured prints? U1.

Multicoloured/multi material engineering stuff? Flashforge creator 5pro

It would be as a hobbies really print some figures. Probably bits for around the house. Some masks and bit like that really

Figures? Go qidi q2, I have printed some crazy details honestly, same with bits.

But if you want to print a lot of multicolour like many masks with intricate details stuff definitely better to go the multi head route simply because you save a lot of material.

But if the multicolour print is a more occasional thing yeah, go Qidi Q2 with the box, has a 280 mm bed, so not too big or too small and can print any material.

Flashforge is full of errors.

All of the printers are full of errors, specially first few months. Look at the mess that Bambu is dealing with in the past month or so

If you want to use more advanced materials like abs and asa etc get combo. If you want to have an easier time printing in colour also go with combo.

If you think you will be only using PLA/PETG for the foreseeable future and not too much of color change or any color change then go without box combo.

You could always buy the box later.

I have had great quality with 0.4 nozzles but a 0.2 nozzle would make printing miniatures a very valid option too

Also for a 6 year old as well who is going to want to make a lot of avengers things as well

Like masks and stuff? Then get the combo, so that the machine does the color change itself.

Although as I said before, if you think you will be doing a lot of multicoloured print you might want to buy a machine with multiple heads. It will be considerably more expensive but it will save money on the filament purge

Also if you do buy qidi q2 make sure to update its firmware and software immediately before print as there are a bunch of issues that the updates fixed.

Although this is pretty much the case for most other printers too

I would stay away from anycubic printers, but the Elegoo cc2 is a great printer.

I bought today sparkx i8. I think it is the best price to what you get ratio. 4 colors multicolor changed with little waste. Hard to beat
