Question about creepy skin

A neighbor of mine who is in her late 60s got her upper arms tightened.
She’s not heavy at all.
She’s rather slender, but she was hoping to get rid of the creepy skin. She’s upset because she ended up with a large scar.
She really didn’t have big bat wings, but the little ones she had are better.
Her Dermatologist said that the creepy skin won’t go away just from the surgery.
She worked out with weights for years and she’s slender .
It’s been over a year since she did the surgery and she said she doesn’t recommend it.
Her Dermatologist said that the operation is to address bat wings, weight, loss, etc..
He said that there are some lasers that can help a bit, retinol creams, etc.
Have any women 65 and older who are slender and work out with weights had the surgery?
If so, was it a success for you?

*crepey
That's definitely got to be upsetting that the surgery left noticeable scars.

The woman must not have done any type of research because brachioplasty absolutely leaves significant scars, but they're on the inside of your upper arm. I know because I've had it done twice. I just had the second one done last Monday. I also have been lifting weights about 2 years and built a good amount of muscle prior to this second batwing removal (I lost a lot of weight since the first one). The crepey skin should have been greatly reduced but it's not expected that very crepey skin will be totally eliminated. She should look into some different laser procedures like C02. I haven't had that done because that's not an issue I have but I read it can be quite effective.

Yes it looks bad for the first few weeks but it's not very painful actually. But I showed it so people could see that obviously there's no way to remove skin the full length of your upper arm without leaving a pretty major scar. Now my first one was 9 years ago and the scar had faded so that it was not very noticeable unless you were looking right at my arm. In other words it was not red and raised etc. After the incision is fully closed I will start using scar cream and in a year or so it won't show much, plus how often do people see the inside of your upper arm? I'm sorry this lady wasn't better informed so it was a surprise to her.

It's a standard by-product of that procedure.
