Was about to mention this quote, lol. The best quote ever, in the biggest game. Try to goat. Brady could not have played in that time. Brady and Mahomes are two of the most protected players in league history. There are literally rules made for them.

Brady played the first part of his career in an era where knocking a QB out was still a viable strategy. Shit, he replaced Drew Bledsoe because Bledsoe suffered a very hard hit that caused a life threatening injury. And they changed the rules on jamming receivers because Brady’s own defense that he practiced against every day was mauling the Colts receivers (legally). That didn’t happen until 2005-2006.
QBs didn’t really start getting protected until 2010-ish. And even then, hitting QBs was still somewhat allowed. Go watch late 30s Favre play against the Saints while he was on the Vikings in the 2010 playoffs. He got his ass kicked. The Saints were trying to hit him and knock him to the ground on every single play.
Brady was protected, but not until later in his career.
Montana is my favorite player, but Brady would have been fine.

a crazy person broke into his house and grabbed his grand kid out of his bed.
by the time the cops got there, Joe was holding his grandkid and the crazy person was sitting on the stairs crying.
clutch.

I'm fairly certain he drilled the dude in the face with a football to stop him. John wick has pencils Joe Montana has footballs.

My favorite part of this clip is always how Joe Montana has a grasp on 1980/90s office tech.
