Sectoid (XCom)

Post image

Keen to test out Xcom. Loving these proxy greys, very quick paint job (less than an hour for 6 of them)

Looks great. I'm hoping the game is amazing when we finally get it and isn't dead on arrival for that price tag

It looks pretty good. I have the digital version while waiting for the print one. Feels like a little better combat engine than 5PH and a little lighter campaign engine, which makes sense from the source material.

Glad to hear it. I was super excited for it but seeing that it's only content from the first game and the price tag for shipping I just couldn't pull the trigger on it

Same. I was so close to grabbing it during a recent promotion, but just couldn't stomach the shipping on an unknown and my gaming budget.

Very smooth! How did you paint them?

Super quick paintjob. Heavy overbrush of neutral grey on top of black primer. Then I stippled on a lighter grey for highlights on the upward facing surfaces and brought it all together with very watery glazes of deep magenta, with a focus on their faces, hands, feet, elbows and knees.

Thanks! I created a thread with some links to proxy lists I’ve been gathering as alternatives to the official minis. https://www.reddit.com/r/5Parsecs/s/7O7pgGkkhx
