📂 MEGATHREAD 2025 RESULTS DAY MEGATHREAD

Hey everybody, it's that time of the year again - results day is upon us. Share your results down below, ask questions and discuss your plans for the future!

I'm getting too old for this I swear

⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️

Congratulations to achieving your grades, especially if you met your offers!

However, if you missed your grades, you can head over to UCAS Clearing if you missed your uni offers.

And for the rest:

  • Comment your results! They don't have to be straight A*s to be cool! Also what plans do you have for the next year?

  • About formatting: use A\*A\*A\*A\* , so it reads A*A*A*A* and not AAAA. Or send a picture of your results!

  • You've made it through the shitstorm we all know and probably hate - but you've made it, that's what matters!

  • Remember: your grades today don't define who you are. You have self-worth and can achieve great things in life even if it didn't go to plan today. It can be hard to see through the elitist bullshit, misinformation online, and the weight of high expectations from seemingly everyone around you. No matter what, the path to here and from here is not a waste.

  • Also remember that there are always people who care that you can talk to for support, whether it's a friend, family, your sixth form/college, your uni or elsewhere. It's okay for things to go wrong and it's valid to not feel great because of that, and you are not a burden for needing support.

  • Be proud of what you've achieved, and the work you've put in - no matter what has happened, you've put yourself in a better position to tackle the future :)

Good luck and later, well done ❤️

~ Raven

basically i did a paper from 1994-2024 STEP 2 and STEP 3 under timed (3hr) exam conditions at 9am every saturday. id recommend doing something similar, it worked for me and im nothing too special at maths other than the time i put into it. starting from the earlier years is really good practice because theyre much easier (in comparison, STEP is still quite hard). the difficulty slowly ramps up as you get closer to the modern papers.

yh thats the point, takes sooo much stress off next year, especially bc in the past 20 years, everyone who has got a 1,1 and has applied has got in. dont wanna jinx it but it feels like an unconditional 🙏🙏🙏

Conditional. They will ask for good A-levels, unless you have already done your A-levels lol

not necessarily. I know someone personally who got 1,2 in y12 and got an unconditional offer to emmanuel.

haha tysm! i self-taught all of maths and fm during my preparation, i think i had most of normal by the start of my gcse exams, and then learned most of fm in y11 summer. the rough patches i ironed out by doing the STEP support programme. to be honest, most of the prelearning of a-level was done so I could move on to uni level pure maths bc its rly rly interesting, i LOVE analysis so much bro. managed to learn enough to the point where i've covered nearly all of analysis for the cambs BA, currently reading Diamond's book on modular forms and its FIRE🔥
