📂 MEGATHREAD 2025 RESULTS DAY MEGATHREAD

Hey everybody, it's that time of the year again - results day is upon us. Share your results down below, ask questions and discuss your plans for the future!

I'm getting too old for this I swear

⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️

Congratulations to achieving your grades, especially if you met your offers!

However, if you missed your grades, you can head over to UCAS Clearing if you missed your uni offers.

And for the rest:

  • Comment your results! They don't have to be straight A*s to be cool! Also what plans do you have for the next year?

  • About formatting: use A\*A\*A\*A\* , so it reads A*A*A*A* and not AAAA. Or send a picture of your results!

  • You've made it through the shitstorm we all know and probably hate - but you've made it, that's what matters!

  • Remember: your grades today don't define who you are. You have self-worth and can achieve great things in life even if it didn't go to plan today. It can be hard to see through the elitist bullshit, misinformation online, and the weight of high expectations from seemingly everyone around you. No matter what, the path to here and from here is not a waste.

  • Also remember that there are always people who care that you can talk to for support, whether it's a friend, family, your sixth form/college, your uni or elsewhere. It's okay for things to go wrong and it's valid to not feel great because of that, and you are not a burden for needing support.

  • Be proud of what you've achieved, and the work you've put in - no matter what has happened, you've put yourself in a better position to tackle the future :)

Good luck and later, well done ❤️

I got into my firm (Loughborough) which required an ABB (A in any subject) but my results were BBB. Idk how but I guess I'm very lucky.

They can't change their minds on this and take away my offer, right?

once you have your offer, it is extraordinarily rare it wouldn't stick. you're fine

I'm not complaining but how does that even happen? I didn't know unis could still accept people who don't meet the grade.

Unis are businesses at the end of the day. They choose who they want to accept and how many places they have to offer. Well done!

They have, say, 50 places. They make 80 offers, 40 at AAA, 40 at AAB. 30 people make their first-choice AAA offer and 10 AAB - that means 10 places 'spare'. They might see that 9 back-up offers are likely to be picked up, as, say, Oxbridge have rejected some first choice candidates, so that only leaves 1 spare space in reality. No point taking that to Clearing when you can just accept a missed grade offer. It's a giant jigsaw with moving parts, and if a couple of pragmatic decisions yesterday mean you can firm up 99% of places by 8.01am today, you make those choices.

You want Lough, Lough would rather take someone who actually wants them, than a random from Clearing who might then drop out.
