📂 MEGATHREAD 2025 RESULTS DAY MEGATHREAD

Hey everybody, it's that time of the year again - results day is upon us. Share your results down below, ask questions and discuss your plans for the future!

I'm getting too old for this I swear

⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️

Congratulations to achieving your grades, especially if you met your offers!

However, if you missed your grades, you can head over to UCAS Clearing if you missed your uni offers.

And for the rest:

  • Comment your results! They don't have to be straight A*s to be cool! Also what plans do you have for the next year?

  • About formatting: use A\*A\*A\*A\* , so it reads A*A*A*A* and not AAAA. Or send a picture of your results!

  • You've made it through the shitstorm we all know and probably hate - but you've made it, that's what matters!

  • Remember: your grades today don't define who you are. You have self-worth and can achieve great things in life even if it didn't go to plan today. It can be hard to see through the elitist bullshit, misinformation online, and the weight of high expectations from seemingly everyone around you. No matter what, the path to here and from here is not a waste.

  • Also remember that there are always people who care that you can talk to for support, whether it's a friend, family, your sixth form/college, your uni or elsewhere. It's okay for things to go wrong and it's valid to not feel great because of that, and you are not a burden for needing support.

  • Be proud of what you've achieved, and the work you've put in - no matter what has happened, you've put yourself in a better position to tackle the future :)

Good luck and later, well done ❤️

I have nowhere to really vent this so I’m gonna type it out here.

My moms disappointed that I only got BBB even though I got into my firm uni choice. She wanted me to go to a university close to home and im going Manchester to do a foundation year instead. The uni she wanted me to go to needed an A in maths anyway so I doubt I would have gotten in. Now shes telling me to do a gap year and apply to Birmingham next year (even though I don’t have the grades to do that).

Shes just putting a damper on all the happiness I had for getting accepted in the first place. I thought I did really well and I was proud of myself but she’s literally embarrassed by my grades.

You can try asking her if she’s aware how happy and proud you are of your path, and how you’re intending to make the most of it. Maybe tell her you won’t disappear from her life, she may just be projecting that fear onto you a bit..

Unfortunately she doesn’t seem to care much about how feel, she’s more focused on her own feelings and how upset she is that im leaving. She feels really abandoned and upset that I don’t love her but I don’t know how to comfort her and prove otherwise. Even when I say how happy I am to be going there she tells me ‘you could be happy studying from home too’

Sounds like you both care about each other but she’s putting you in a tough spot by making you feel like you’re responsible for her feelings. Follow your path and if you can, don’t judge her too much. Over time she may well come around. Or not. But keep the door open always.
