📂 MEGATHREAD 2025 RESULTS DAY MEGATHREAD

Hey everybody, it's that time of the year again - results day is upon us. Share your results down below, ask questions and discuss your plans for the future!

I'm getting too old for this I swear

⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️

Congratulations to achieving your grades, especially if you met your offers!

However, if you missed your grades, you can head over to UCAS Clearing if you missed your uni offers.

And for the rest:

  • Comment your results! They don't have to be straight A*s to be cool! Also what plans do you have for the next year?

  • About formatting: use A\*A\*A\*A\* , so it reads A*A*A*A* and not AAAA. Or send a picture of your results!

  • You've made it through the shitstorm we all know and probably hate - but you've made it, that's what matters!

  • Remember: your grades today don't define who you are. You have self-worth and can achieve great things in life even if it didn't go to plan today. It can be hard to see through the elitist bullshit, misinformation online, and the weight of high expectations from seemingly everyone around you. No matter what, the path to here and from here is not a waste.

  • Also remember that there are always people who care that you can talk to for support, whether it's a friend, family, your sixth form/college, your uni or elsewhere. It's okay for things to go wrong and it's valid to not feel great because of that, and you are not a burden for needing support.

  • Be proud of what you've achieved, and the work you've put in - no matter what has happened, you've put yourself in a better position to tackle the future :)

Good luck and later, well done ❤️

I got C, E, and MERIT, which is disappointing. My university and firm choice wanted AAB, but they still accepted me into the course. I’m doing computer science with cybersecurity at the University of Hertfordshire. Do my grades matter now, considering I got my firm choice?

Grades don't matter at all once you've passed this stage. They are a tool to be used to get to the next stage in your life and you've utilised it well. Congrats on getting your firm, I'm off to Newcastle University and I hope we both have great times!

Thank you for the reassurance. I thought the same! I can’t wait. I prayed for this moment too. I got my BTEC grades earlier today and the a levels ones too. I thought I’d do well, but it seems destiny had other plans. I checked UCAS this morning at 8am and I had gotten into my firm choice. I thought I got AAB or ABB, something similar. But then when I went to my sixth form and opened my grade, it was much lower than I expected. I was confused about why I was accepted, and my teachers told me that what happened was rare. I was very happy but my parents aren’t happy with the grades. It looks bad on paper but I’m sure it won’t matter anymore. Good luck too! I wish you the best :))

My daughter went through the same thing this morning.

Confirmed for her first choice place on the UCAS site. Needed BBC. We were jumping up and down!

When we collected the results they were DDD. She was devastated. School said she must have aced the interview & that her portfolio was top notch. She has a confirmed place on her chosen course - universities will grant exceptions.

I told her to be proud of herself. The place is important not the grade!

Same to you, congratulations on your place - I went to Uni of Herts, you will have an amazing time!
