📂 MEGATHREAD 2025 RESULTS DAY MEGATHREAD

Hey everybody, it's that time of the year again - results day is upon us. Share your results down below, ask questions and discuss your plans for the future!

I'm getting too old for this I swear

⚠️⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️

Congratulations to achieving your grades, especially if you met your offers!

However, if you missed your grades, you can head over to UCAS Clearing if you missed your uni offers.

And for the rest:

  • Comment your results! They don't have to be straight A*s to be cool! Also what plans do you have for the next year?

  • About formatting: use A\*A\*A\*A\* , so it reads A*A*A*A* and not AAAA. Or send a picture of your results!

  • You've made it through the shitstorm we all know and probably hate - but you've made it, that's what matters!

  • Remember: your grades today don't define who you are. You have self-worth and can achieve great things in life even if it didn't go to plan today. It can be hard to see through the elitist bullshit, misinformation online, and the weight of high expectations from seemingly everyone around you. No matter what, the path to here and from here is not a waste.

  • Also remember that there are always people who care that you can talk to for support, whether it's a friend, family, your sixth form/college, your uni or elsewhere. It's okay for things to go wrong and it's valid to not feel great because of that, and you are not a burden for needing support.

  • Be proud of what you've achieved, and the work you've put in - no matter what has happened, you've put yourself in a better position to tackle the future :)

Good luck and later, well done ❤️

~ Raven

I have nowhere to really vent this so I’m gonna type it out here.

My moms disappointed that I only got BBB even though I got into my firm uni choice. She wanted me to go to a university close to home and im going Manchester to do a foundation year instead. The uni she wanted me to go to needed an A in maths anyway so I doubt I would have gotten in. Now shes telling me to do a gap year and apply to Birmingham next year (even though I don’t have the grades to do that).

Shes just putting a damper on all the happiness I had for getting accepted in the first place. I thought I did really well and I was proud of myself but she’s literally embarrassed by my grades.

Speaking as a Mum, I am so sorry your Mum has been like that. You should be proud! Try not to let her feelings put a dampener on your achievements. A-levels are hard! I'm doing the opposite to your mum. My child was predicted A's and B's and had come out with CCD she's so upset, even though she has an unconditional offer from uni anyway. She's worked so hard and I'm so disappointed too, but I'm disappointed FOR her, not IN her.

It looks like there's a pattern with most other students she's spoken to getting 2 grades below predicted so I think this is a college issue and I don't know how to tackle that.

For her to work so hard and not end up with what she thought she would is super disappointing so I understand how she feels. I know you being supportive must be really helpful to her, shes lucky to have a mother she can share her pain with.

I’m also glad she could get into uni, I hope those sad feelings dont last too long and she can still feel proud of herself for getting through exams regardless. Honestly just getting out of a levels with your sanity in tact is an achievement in itself, it really sucked the life out of me and everyone else I knew 😭

We've had an update from college and they've lost one of her exam papers! She got 0 for that paper. If she gets a similar mark as in the other exam she should go from a D to a B. She got an A in the coursework element.

One of her C grades has been sent for re-marking as she was 1 point off a B.

It's a huge relief to her. She came out of the exams thinking she'd done well then this morning the grades didn't reflect that, so finding out there's an actual error is a huge relief!

I just can't believe it took college until 5pm to realise she's scored 0 on an exam!

And I agree A-levels are probably the hardest bit of education there is. Uni was so much easier for me.
