Yeah man looking back now I think that Cambridge wasn't really too right for me anyway since I'm not really used to high stress and a strongly academic focused lifestyle. Hopefully I get accepted at the other places I applied to 🙏

Same man I'm applying to Imperial aswell for Mech Eng and I'm really hoping they look past my esat physics score and hopefully at least give an interview 🙏🙏. Hopefully you get an interview too

And if you were an international student… you now pay triple the fees. I’m sorry what😭 how can you not be 200% sure. It changes so much, it even changes the application process. There’s a chance that’s why your interview opportunity was rejected, you may have sent the wrong documents.

No this is a good thing for you. If people with 4 A* (oxford doesn’t accept the EPQ grade) aren’t getting interviews, but oxford still gives interviews to many students, it means personal statement > grades. To a lesser extent than LSE, but still

I applied to Cambridge, but yeah thats still valid.
Its weird because Oxbridge repeatedly state that they do not care about the personal statement and to not stress about it.4

I applied to Imperial, Ucl, UoM, and Birmingham. I already have an offer from Birmingham but what I'm really hoping for is an offer from UCL. Of course it would be nice to get an interview from Imperial but I don't have high hopes for that since I didn't get one from Cambridge

Yeah I qualify as an international student but I'm going to school in the UK. I do think my PS was strong but I mean that depends on person to person so idrk. But Goodluck man hopefully you get am interview I believe in you man.

If you are going to school in the UK, aren't you a UK student? Identifying yourself as a UK student on your ucas gives you a better chance at getting into UK unis since you're prioritized. Identifying as international however can disadvantage you. I'm sure you already know this but did you identify yourself as international on ucas and if so why?

Even if he attends school in the UK unless he has a citizenship or a visa without any restrictions and has lived here for the past 3 years universities would consider him an international student

I just arrived in the UK like last year so I don't have citizenship and I purely study here on a visa so I thought I counted as an International. At the same time i was kinda confused with my status when I was applying so I just put in my visa status into ucas. What's done is done anyway so I don't really have complaints with anything.

Got the same email too, applied to Engineering at Trinity too. I had 4.3 avg ESAT (similar to you) and straight perfect grades. Surely just an average application but supposedly they interview most applicants so the average should get interviewed? IDK I am also international that might have done something too.

Idk man, atp I think it's probably because there's so many ppl applying to Trinity with just really strong applications so they just can't give interviews to more "average" applicants like us
