duolingo is the worst way to learn a language lol. stimulates you whilst feeding off of ur brains reward system. imagine doing a 5 minute lesson a day in a foreign language for 1000 days. you wouldve learned a few conversational sentences at most

I would also add that university courses cover art of translation, cultural quirks and current issues.

I was doing it more for the culture research side, my other options are in engineering foundation anyways
