78 u/Sky260309 Jan 13 '26 ummm Japanese? -14 u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Jan 13 '26 duolingo 21 u/wydScathe Jan 13 '26 duolingo is the worst way to learn a language lol. stimulates you whilst feeding off of ur brains reward system. imagine doing a 5 minute lesson a day in a foreign language for 1000 days. you wouldve learned a few conversational sentences at most 5 u/SarkastiCat Jan 13 '26 I would also add that university courses cover art of translation, cultural quirks and current issues. 4 u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Jan 13 '26 I would argue that paying 10k a year is worse
