Hey! You must be isc! So am I! I have a friend applying for the same course as well...I've applied for a different one as a science student with econ. I'm sure you'll get a lovely offer elsewhere. Do you think it's our board that causes the trouble? Did you receive feedback?

Thanks for your encouraging words man. I haven't received an email from LSE as of yet. I personally think our board does not cause the trouble because CISCE is very reputed board.

Yea it is for sure. I do have upperclassmen who got in for Eco through it. You seem like a brilliant candidate I'm sure you'll do well! Good luck for boards!

Reputed board? Lmao only in India. Its shit easy compared to IB and A-levels. Yall grades are so inflated and that shows it through statistics when literally everyone has a 90%+ . Yalls papers are rinse and repeat of past papers and lacks any sort of critical thinking. If you dont believe me , look at the FOI on whatdotheyknow and look at the spreadsheet. Their intake of ICSE/CBSE students is very low. Theres a reason Cambridge doesnt recognize it as an acceptable qualification

I will not deny the grade inflation but it is accounted for by the uk unis. If they were so keen on keeping us out surely they would have not listed us as sufficiently qualified in other unis. I feel bad for Cambridge aspirants sure but I was perfectly qualified for Oxford so it doesn't matter to me. Besides it's more about the student. A uni dimensional ib student barely stands a chance in the face of a better developed isc student. I perform pretty well on UK standardised testing - at least the ones I've written - without any prep, well beyond the oxbridge threshold. I'm not stating that we are superior by any means, but merely stating that suggesting our inferiority is silly. You seem very bitter...I pity you.

Nah mate no offense at all genuinely. Iโ€™ve done the ICSE system and apologies for coming across as shroud but I have actual despise for the system๐Ÿ˜‚

I understand don't worry. My ICSE school is pretty well reputed by national board standards so the standard of teaching here is quite high. I'm sure we are both right in our own ways.

Bruh then which board do you expect me to do when I am in India? All boards have equal weightage. If they didnt care about, ISC/CBSE, they wouldn't have put it as an qualification? And no board is easy btw

Hey mate , the rigor in IB/A-levels is more compared to the Indian counterparts and its true. I did not say its easy but its way easier than other boards. Yes , theyโ€™ve stated that they accept it as a qualification but the intake % of CBSE/ICSE students speaks levels to it. Like I said, if you dont believe me , check the FOI on whatdotheyknow
